That’s my plan as well, just trying to decide if it’s an NR or Reverse and what body color to go with. I have black, brown, white, red and pink covered. I like the retro look, so leaning towards sea foam green with a vintage tint black block and bound maple neck and fretboard.I think I need to make another 7enderbird.......

it's a left hand neck, right hand would work as well.
I plan on using a two piece VP bridge so if I go with a reverse headstock (which I love the look of) I might be limited in string selections. Trying to find an E string that can reach from claw to the furthest tuning peg on the headstock could prove difficult. Id like to put Pyramid Gold Flats on it but don’t know the uncut ball to tip (can I say that) length on their E string.
Has anyone ever bought a 5 string pack to use the 4 thicker strings on a 4 string bass?
Left handed necks work great, you’ll just need to put a right handed nut on it.

Have any Thunderbirds ever been made with a left-handed neck ?
Tuned BEAD it should work. I’ve used the top four strings of a five string set as well, tuned EADG.

That started as one of those CAR limited edition Epiphones.............I bought it and deliberately parted it out to make that Bird.

From Gibson other than purpose built left hand models - No.
Yup, my RNR is that setup. Just still throws me sometimes when tuning.
I didn't intentionally buy a 5 string set for that purpose but when I got tired of using my Studio V, it's heavy, I strung my Classic Pro BEAD with another set I had in the drawer. Now I just use the Classic Pro and the Studio V is a wall decoration.
