Thunderbird Club

I've only got a couple pics of the reverse Jag in action. But I'll be getting the T-Bird out for a gig soon.

was going to come to work dressed today but was just too tired - We rehearsed last night and after that ate a late dinner, did not sleep well on top of that.........But, pretty much every week is Halloween if you're me.

Played the VP for about half the night, pickup height needs a tweak up I think and that should do it.

Played the '89 with Lulls for balance of the night, the neck alone makes it worth it for me - I love that slim neck!

Weird-Al Yankovic fan, I take it. I caught that reference.

Sweet!
I want to hear that bass sometime:smug:

Here we go... lifted the drum track off Karaoke Version, from a song called J'ai vu (translation: I saw), issued by the French band Niagara in the early 90s. Apart from the occasional reunion show, I don't believe they are active and haven't been for a long while. The drum track is essentially the first 2 verses from that song.

Set-up: Fenderbird > pedalboard (Boss TU-2 > Keeley Compressor Pro > Tech21 VT Bass v2 > Zoom MS60B > Boss GEB-7 > Boss LS-2) > Traynor DynaBlock 400 DI'd to Zoom LiveTrack-12 console > PreSonus Studio One 5 DAW. Last 3 pedals are OFF.

Fenderbird settings: blend knob 60/40 neck/bridge, volume full ON, treble at 10 oc, bass 1 oc.
Amp settings: Bass 1 oc, low-mids noon, hi-mids 9 oc, treble 9 oc, low expander 12:30 oc. Gain acts as master volume when DI output is used and set around 3 oc.

1st part is played clean, VT Bass kicks in after the break. Drums are mixed in at a lower volume. A little EQ, compression and limiting are added here and there.

Good evening and happy Halloween to my Thunderbird loving sisters and brothers. Just dropping in to say I had a great time over the weekend. Trip over the mountains to see a Yes concert with my old roommate. They played for just shy of two and a half hours at the Paramount Theater in Seattle. They were celebrating the 50th anniversary of the release of Close to the Edge. Steve Howe, Billy Sherwood and the rest tore it up! They opened with a tribute to Alan White, who recently passed away. The first set was a variety of older and newer songs, including a fabulous rendition of Heart of the Sunrise. The second set included the complete album a few classics as well. Chris Squire was definitely one of a kind, but Billy Sherwood is also an amazing bass player. He was all over the neck and never slowed down. I had seen Yes three times before, but never from the 8th row in a theater. They played well and sounded good, I recommend catching them if they play near you.
Cheers!
