And if you ever sell yours, I'll probably start thinking about why I need two kidneys. What strings did you have on it when I played it? It became my holy grail that evening.
Cool. You and the guitarist even had an endorsement deal with Ibanez. So here I is playing at a party in college.View attachment 4890478 You can see my nose and my foot in a cast. Morrisville NY spring 1979. My Ibanez Roadstar.
I thought this was a pretty good deal…

The story about WLW was that you could pick it up on a barbed wire fence in places. No radio necessary. When I was a kid, they had dialed it back quite a bit, but you could still get WLW near Columbus. Their transmitter was somewhere near Cincinnati. I listened to Big Red Machine baseball games on WLW.
If it is BMM, I don't care if it's real Naugahyde or Sears Naugahyde.
I notice the pickups are in the original positions, or awfully close if not exact. He did it right.
You’re not kidding. When I lived in the Cincinnati area I used to get WLW on my bathroom sink. I suspect it was the metal drain lines and the sink bowl was acting as a megaphone. When I first moved into the apartment I thought I was going nutz. Kept hearing faint voices talking when I knew I was the only person in the apartment. After a day or two I finally figured it out.The story about WLW was that you could pick it up on a barbed wire fence in places. No radio necessary. Now days I only hear voices saying “Buy it! Buy it!” I try to ignore them but sometimes I give in.
I had a set on their Low Tension Flats that sounded great on a '05 Pbass.
Army. Drab. YMMV but no, thank you.
This looks nice ?

Nope, I don’t normally waste my time or insult the seller by tire kicking or low balling. If it’s a fair price I’ll buy it, if not I’ll wait for one that is. And if that opportunity never materializes then it just wasn’t meant to be. There’s plenty of equally nice birds out there to choose from.
That said, I would consider a straight trade for one of my basses that market values at around $2500 to $3000, but I didn’t see any note from the seller about trades.
