How about John Presutti? (Johnny Press) I was in Southpaw for the last two years of the band, we changed it to 'Under the Gun', changed a few members for a while then it went under, was a stupid move. I'm surprised we haven't met at one time or other.
I see Johnny Press all the time,, He plays in a Bad Company tribute band called Burning Sky and also the Johnny Press Mess lol .. He sits in with my band every so often also

Oh, and they just tore the Cove down it was a very sad day; I have a brick from the demolition

That sucks, I used to play there every Thursday, I saw Entwistle there and everything. Stones even played there once. Muddy Waters, Cotton, many other famous old blues guys, that place had quite a history.

I was the original bassist in that band for a little while but I had to leave for here, never got out of the cellar. I've known John since about 1975. Couple of old rockers.

What's the name of your band?

PM sent.

Just returned you're PM CounterAttack , The first Led Zep tribute band on the east coast
GO! All Original but Counter Attack was the band that was together for 35 years

I installed the Hipshot. The gibby bridge had a few issues. It was sold to me as a vintage pro... All I know is it plays and sounds better than my NR Gibby, the neck is fantastic

I absolutely love the necks on my CP and VP.
Was one of the bridge problems that the saddles needed more travel for proper intonation? That's one of my few complaints with my VP.

They are ground wounds and not exactly flats--kind of in between.

A long, long time ago. Dean Markley made ground wounds.
I had them on a '71 Precision.
Had that bass a long time, and those strings stayed on till i sold the bass.
I've never found any ground wound that matched the DM's to this day.

Exactly the issue and the bridge was all the way to the deck, I could not get the action right at all with that gibby bridge, It Works perfect on my casady and my woody but not on my Birds.. The Hipshot is the best upgrade I've done on my Birds and my Ric's.
