Thunderbird Club

I got a set of those-once. Only strings I've ever put on, tried, took off, and immediately threw away.
Tweetchie zone.
To clarify, I bought that set of Brite Flats to put on my Epi EB-0 to cut down on 'boomy'. Wasn't what I was looking for and being short scale, I couldn't use them on anything else.

Bird parts...........

A long, long time ago. Dean Markley made ground wounds.
I had them on a '71 Precision.
Had that bass a long time, and those strings stayed on till i sold the bass.
I've never found any ground wound that matched the DM's to this day.

I used to use half rounds on a fretless bass, I think D'Addario made them, they sounded almost like flat wounds though after a few weeks of me pounding the poor things.

The DM's i mentioned really held their tone and freshness.
But i hadn't fully come out of my alien shell as a teen.
