  1. Fingerless biking gloves don't impede my bass playing at all. They're going to come in handy Saturday evening when I play. Presumable unpadded gloves would work even better. To be fair, I'm using my older pair; the newer ones are a bit grippy over the gel pads so I haven't tried those.
  2. I ordered a couple of D'Addario shoulder pads for guitar/bass straps: D'Addario PW-GSP Gel Shoulder Pad for Fabric Straps . I've only got a few minutes in on them, but they're comfy so far. I think they'll help when I'm playing longe. The 2" Dunlop D38[1] and D67 series 65"[2] straps work great for the most part, but after extended playing time they start eating into my shoulder. And no, they're not sweating acid; that's Jeff you're thinking of.
What are a couple of your suggested Thunderbird accessories?

[2] If you're looking for long, inexpensive straps, these and related Dunlop straps are the bomb.

My plan is to steal the electronics from my bolt-on bird, (including a set of Chinabuckers), and purchase a repro vintage style bridge. Should hopefully be a fairly inexpensive project that will be a nice backup to my ebony Vintage Pro.

Ellen is such a breath of fresh air to watch, so much positive energy and just a happy go lucky attitude behind her awesome talent. The new bass looks awesome, love the wood, the finish and the color, would have rather seen cream or black pups and knobs vs stark white. All that said, I’m not sure the body shape fit her very well, the upper horn almost hits her in the chin and the thigh cutout on the lower bout is very far forward to the point that it looks like it’s going to slip off her lap. Her playing style looks less fluid than other basses she’s played in the past, it looks like she’s fighting the bass a bit. Fortunately she’s a great player so it doesn’t really impact her sound much if any.

I almost said this very thing! I think you could meet him or live next door and would never know they guy was famous for some time. He wears fame as well as any I've ever seen. He's actually really smart and still comes of as a guy next door.
