Thunderbird Club

If the bridge looks the same, it’s probably a faithful copy, including flaws.

A little warmer today, only -9C:eek:
This is what I was faced with on Tuesday morning:

Can you please keep that stuff up there where it belongs? :D

Supposed to be 1 degree F here tonight, with several days or night of single digits.

totally with you on how folks play that Beatles song and ironically, playing it right is so much more satisfying for the bassist…
btw, no offense intended but you talk like a FL swamp hick….;)

Uhhhhhh, ohhhhhh......... :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:
I think that's the first time ever hearing Mikes voice.
There's a reason for his doormat.

Vocal on "Mustang Sally". Skip the first 1:10-the BL wanted me to sing it, but he kicked it off in C. I do it in A. That's why we keep looking at each other. A little high for me. I happened to use the LPB2/5 that day-for S&G;)-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lme7sjx3hlE
(This was an "Open Mic/Jam" at the Stuart H-D Dealer. Note my "Vespa" T-shirt :smug: )

Always have heard you sing, but not your talking voice, and love the vids.

little chilly for Seattle huh? hey how are you liking that Electra? have you tried it in a band setting yet?….always curious about those…..kinda like Ovation Magnums, in their own class….

I love it! I finished the morning's chores and played that bass hard for 40 minutes - It's a tank for sure, not a lightly made bass at all, lots of tones I have yet to fully appreciate as of now though - That '64 II is a very big distraction! :)

Yikes! For the non PNW folks this is a prime example of what's called "Frazier River Outflow". Basically arctic air following the river's canyon from east to west and mixing with moisture.
Being a bit south of Irv I have quite a bit less snow here but the cold air is quite present.

:jawdrop: Good LAWD!
This much snow happens about once per decade, and here on the coast it will only last for a week or two. By Saturday, we’ll be back to rain. Of course that will also cause issues as that foot of snow turns into slush. I’ll be out digging trenches to the storm drains by the weekend. Merry Vancouver Christmas!

Thanks for that Geoff! Oz’s poet laureate, at least he should be. Here’s a favorite he co-wrote with Kev Carmody.

Yes, a great song. You probably already know but it was based on real events. The tall bloke that poured the sand through his hand was Gough Whitlam (6’5” from memory) who was the Prime Minister (72-75) at that time and the first from the Labor party since the end of WW2. The sand/dirt thing was part of the land rights ceremony, and I’m pretty sure they did the same gesture years later when the area around Uluṟu was granted to the local Aboriginal community.

Paul Kelly has a great body of work.

Awesome song, and awesome action by the PM. The US could take lessons.
