Seemed cheap enough to see if it adds anything to the sound choices. Needs a good cleaning, but that’s all.

Good to hear most everything is ok.The best laid plans of ducks and men...
Got an emergency call earlier from our guitarist Paul - our rehearsal space was flooding. Jumped in the Element and quickly found wide-spread chaos with road closures at every turn due to our constant Bay Area rain the last few days. A drive that normally takes 10 minutes now taking a circuitous route got me there 45mins later. Drove through a big flooded intersection slowly there and back - luckily the Element is a bit tall being an SUV. Many cars weren't risking shorting out their spark-plugs - it was deep and opposing traffic was creating big waves like in a boats wake.
Our beloved space under Paul & Sandy's living space/house was/is a slip&slide verging on wading pool. Luckily my Carvin cab is up on a 4" platform and Kirstin has the keys - but our carpets are all under-water. (one being a decent kilim of mine) Things (mic stands, guitar stands, anything touching the concrete floor) were wet, but luckily Paul caught it in time to move things to dry spots until I got there. (those dry spots quickly becoming not so dry spots) My Teiscobird and Factorbird were there - but are ok. (Factorbird gig-bag is pretty wet, along with the soft bass-drum bag) Loaded it all in the rain and dried it off when I got home.
Our plan was to pick it all up tomorrow and drive it directly to Pacifica. If I can believe the weather report for tomorrow - it's supposed to be clear/sunny with a few clouds. I hope.
It is an amazing time we live in (pandemic notwithstanding).my lord how things have changed…..download the schematics for free from the internet, troubleshoot, order components online and receive at my house 2 days later….mid holidays season!….crazy….this would have taken months and a few automobile trips just 25 years ago…..sometimes, we (humans) get it right….

Color me green with envy. I was in a sorta Motown-ish band on Bari sax in '69. It didn't last. Too many people to get booked.Similarly I grew up listening to James Jamerson, Carol Kaye, Duck Dunn et al without knowing who they were, but recognizing how cool those bass lines were. It’s not until the last decade or so that I got many opportunities to play any of that music. I’m in a Motown/R&B band now and it’s so much fun!
Jeez!! driving to my Carmel gig at O’Callahans…..friggin’ gnarly..man, crazy storms with high wind horizontal rain. The streets are flooded and we’ve been without power since 3am in our neighborhood of Monterey, CA. Didn’t expect that for NYE. Makes me humble about all the people with colder weather on the other side of the country…
Good luck and be safe!!

I was fortunate enuff to see and hear Chicago's original 7 members three times. Just as good live. And GFR twice. Once in '68 at the Atlanta Pot Feast...er, Pop Festival(supposedly their first major gig?), and a year or so later in Miami.Mel Schacher is great an an influence. Listen to Peter Cetera's playing, especially early on. He's hardly mentioned as an amazing player but is likely as good as good can be. And to be able to sing (not that stuff Scott's roadie does) on top of playing.
And it's sitting on a convenient trash can...just in case.Seemed cheap enough to see if it adds anything to the sound choices. Needs a good cleaning, but that’s all.

We have bass, drums, guitar, keys, vocalist, sax, and trumpet. We could bring in a trombone. It’s difficult to get 7 people together for regular rehearsals.Color me green with envy. I was in a sorta Motown-ish band on Bari sax in '69. It didn't last. Too many people to get booked.
Yikes! It’s actually been sunny and warm(ish) for a few days here.Jeez!! driving to my Carmel gig at O’Callahans…..friggin’ gnarly..

Tell me 'bout it. I was in a Chicago/BS&T band in early 70. Same booking problem-too many people. We were called Cherrystone(coupla meaningsWe have bass, drums, guitar, keys, vocalist, sax, and trumpet. We could bring in a trombone. It’s difficult to get 7 people together for regular rehearsals.
We have a gig lined up in about a month, so if anyone has a good suggestion for a name…
???Not him.
Well, if you ideally would have an 8 member band but can only logistically field 7 members…We have bass, drums, guitar, keys, vocalist, sax, and trumpet. We could bring in a trombone. It’s difficult to get 7 people together for regular rehearsals.

Great ad, the beer???? Not so great.
I have a 6 pack of Guinness cans (with widget) to do a quality inspection on later. Hmmm, looking forward to that.
That Jameson bloke before, he makes Whiskey doesn’t he?I’ve got some of that around as well.
But did put magic in a musical bottle.
