As long as you use a right handed thread North of the equator and a left handed thread south of the equator your ok. If our Australian friends accidentally used a right handed thread it would have a canceling effect vs augmenting the tone.

I owe a lot to Cherie. I answered her "bass player wanted for Bond Girl" CL ad 8 years ago and my association with her lead to The Sean Conneries, which lead to Kirstin. I consider myself very fortunate to be surrounded by such talented players who are also my good friends. :)

Nonsense. We know where the tone is. Oh, sure, these other things might impact .0001% of THD , but mainly they do things like change the center and strength of gravity so that the string tension and directional bend, which impact playability and pitch far more than tone.

I have a duo (I play acoustic guitar, some piano et sing occasionnally) with a young woman who over the 15 years of playing together became my best friend. She sings marvelously and has one heck of a sense of humor. I had a challenging year in 2019 healthwise, she came to crucial doctor appointments with me and her and her parents stocked my fridge with home-cooked meals when I convalesced from operations.

People like that make life beautiful when it's not.

All my bandmates do what we do because we all have the flame burning inside (and not as a current profession) so being friends is part of the mix. As in, no-one is 'suffering through' having to play together - we're all happily working together as creative collaborators! (if it ain't fun - why do it?)
