Love it so much! Thank you @Nocturnal for the great heads up deal.
Were my suggestions for starting off helpful?Love it so much! Thank you @Nocturnal for the great heads up deal.
Holy crap yes! I'm definitely getting a tug bar. What's the best tone wood for it?I made a comparison of the VP without and with the tugbar. Don't laugh! There's a difference! It's slight but it definitely inspires me. I hope you can hear it.

No school like the old school I guess.Seems to me that the one called "plastic" brings out the best results.
Set you straight? What did we say?
Thanks for that Donnie. I usually don’t like lists. But I can’t argue with any of the choices.Interesting article. Such lists are always questionable, but what is not with this list is it mentions great players.
The Top 5 Greatest Studio Guitarists of All Time | Stringjoy
I don’t recall seeing Rics ever hanging that low in any of the GCs I’ve been to.GC, 14th between 5th and 6th.
Manhattan.
The neck was shot.
Not long after I moved back from PDX.
Congratulations! And your Carbine rig looks pretty sweet too.A 2019 white Epi Vintage Pro showed up locally for sale and I pounced on it. Been playing all night. Great bass. You could use the headstock to paddle a jon boat.

So when we are in Seattle at your place for the second annual "Birds of a Feather" T-bird convention this year, will we be testing that? (I'll bring the pulpy orange juice)
I thought it was cold fried chicken?
I have a set of their NPS. They are nice strings and sounded good on a VP and a couple others, but currently not on anything. They remind me of Power Wounds and Boomers kind of territory more than anything else off the top of my head. But it's been a while since I've used them. (No silks, so you know where the tone resides.) They recently introduced SS strings which I've yet to try, but would like to at some point. One thing I like is that you can ask them to make a set with basically whatever typical gauges you want at no extra cost. From their site you can easily customize however you want by clicking on the size of each string you desire. They also reply to email, which is nice. Made in Nashville.Makes me wonder about Stringjoy strings. Anyone ever played them?

Awesome Rolo!Love it so much! Thank you @Nocturnal for the great heads up deal.
Is Manny's still around? They were big behind getting G&L to do small runs of special basses. The first was the BABE (Bad A$$ Bass Player [limited to 23] Edition).GC, and you remember correctly Geo.
You and @hillerup set me straight back then.
Was just a novice. Still am.![]()
Was there a beaded curtain? That was back in 2011-ish.
Their vintage room.
They kept the room locked.
Good to see him not screaming.
One of my favorite foods is next day cold pizza with pulpy orange juice - yum!
