Thunderbird Club

Interesting article. Such lists are always questionable, but what is not with this list is it mentions great players.
The Top 5 Greatest Studio Guitarists of All Time | Stringjoy
Thanks for that Donnie. I usually don’t like lists. But I can’t argue with any of the choices.

Seeing the picture of Ronnie and the Ronettes reminded me that it’s almost been a year since we lost her great voice. She was a classy lady.

So when we are in Seattle at your place for the second annual "Birds of a Feather" T-bird convention this year, will we be testing that? (I'll bring the pulpy orange juice)

I thought it was cold fried chicken?

The correct answer is - why not both

I will have to pass on the OJ though, much as I do enjoy it, my stomach finds it to be too acidic and then I'm reaching for the antacid........

Makes me wonder about Stringjoy strings. Anyone ever played them?
I have a set of their NPS. They are nice strings and sounded good on a VP and a couple others, but currently not on anything. They remind me of Power Wounds and Boomers kind of territory more than anything else off the top of my head. But it's been a while since I've used them. (No silks, so you know where the tone resides.) They recently introduced SS strings which I've yet to try, but would like to at some point. One thing I like is that you can ask them to make a set with basically whatever typical gauges you want at no extra cost. From their site you can easily customize however you want by clicking on the size of each string you desire. They also reply to email, which is nice. Made in Nashville.

Congrats of a killer bass! Best Thunderbird from Gibson/Epi since the originals. Won't replace my '64, but if I could only have one bass other than the '64, it would be one of my two VPs. White is difficult to find (because they sound better ;)). It will sound good with rounds and a dirty secret is Thunderbirds can sound great with flats as well.
