It is a pain! I think so, anyway. Mostly, you have to be very patient while dealing with them and make sure you don't crank one tight without doing the same with the other one.

Let it acclimatize much slower so the wood doesn't move as fast or in as uncontrolled a way. It's a big issue in a place like Florida where the climate is hot and humid, especially if the bass is coming from a place like Indiana where it's been in a dry, heated warehouse with very low humidity and then on a truck with who knows what climate.
For the wood to reach stabilization. It’s very important if you have a thick clear coated bass in a very cold shipping environment to let it sit inside your house in its unopened shipping box over night. That way the bass comes up to room temperature very slowly. Speaking from experience, you can easily crack the clear coat finish if you expose the bass to a sudden temperature change (say sub zero C outside and 22C inside). It’s a real thing, mostly in colder climates.
You try to adjust each one about the same amount, no need to be exact, but you don’t want to crank one down and not the other. My Alembic basses have dual truss rods.

If you're setting it really low for the Thunderbird, what's your main use for the HPF?

I run both the Thunderbird and the upright through the same signal chain. It's mostly a way to tune to a room. But, I also didn't say I turn it off. I have it set low, but not off. I don't remember the lowest frequency cutoff. 40 hz maybe? I keep it above that at all times because that tightens up the sound and just makes it sound better somehow. The low pass part of it is the opposite. I use the low pass on a fairly aggressive setting for the Thunderbird and nearly off for the upright. I can't say exactly what it does, because it's hard to describe.

Greco definitely made white Birds. Some turn up a nice bright white (Like GBassNorth posted) and others have yellowed with time. I have seen Greco Birds in Black, White, Red, and sunburst. All were stock colors at some point over the years.
Not sure what model this is but the price seems ok, only feets in one picture though…

You might as well get rid of those other pedals and just make it 10 spark boosts.
Acclimatizing. Very cold in IN, where it came from, not cold in FL, where I is.
Do you havea boost pedal you can put in front of it? It really makes a difference. At home I use a Phat Phuk in front of my Slampegg.

I like the alpine white Jack Cassidy as well though it bugs me that the 3 point isn’t black on it.
Man I love Susan's voice... The band ain't bad either. Hope to catch them live again one day.

One thing that was nice in concert is that neither Susan nor Derek made it about themselves in the slightest--and easily could have. It was about the band. Even highlighted almost everyone in the band with a solo or special part.
