My best friend’s brother was manager of Laurel Liquors in Oakland at that time. We would run inventory between stores and our payment was 1 hour in the cold box to drink whatever we wanted. Still have some of those bottles. In the late 1970’s I was working in a liquor store while in high school and college. Got great discounts on everything in the store, so when it came time to buy beer for a party it was mostly Heineken and Becks. Everyone else was bringing Coors and Bud with an occasional splurge on Schlitz. The rot gut beer we sold at the time was Buffalo Beer and only came in bottles in a 24 pack box, horrid stuff, half the price of Coors.
"Progressing Is Entirely Subjective"? Nah, too long.Same. That makes me feel better in that I'm not alone. Progressing is entirely subjective. Now you're in bad company.
Talk about a good name for a band....

Many of the beers that once were regional favorites were bought up by conglomerates-and ruined.I can take the heat, but I loved Strohs--in the 70s and early 80s. Can't say about anything later than that. First beer I ever had. It was love at first taste. I also loved Heineken before if was cool to drink designer beer. It was for special occasions. Pricey stuff back then.
I’ve played one of the Alembic Stanley Clarke model basses (and an Alembic brown bass). If I could afford to purchase any newly made bass on the market it would most likely be one of these.stand up guy….class act…sounded like he really misses Chick Corea…
the piccolo was plugged to the Roland Jazz Chorus and mic’ed….really wish he would have played it…

And another new song. A drummer and a singer and a lead guitarist guesting, rest by me (or that O'Man man...).
One of Jeff Becks closest stylists - Terje Rypdal - "the Jimi Hendrix of Norway"
Well, that's different! Well done.![]()
I’m glad you posted that. I have a gig coming up with both my bands and People get Ready would probably sound really good with Em singing.
I never thought these words would go together....an occasional splurge on Schlitz.
That was a great kick-ass band!If I was recommending one JB song to someone who was unaware of him - this is it.

yeah, played this one when last in Paris….they wanted 29000 Euros for it!I’ve played one of the Alembic Stanley Clarke model basses (and an Alembic brown bass). If I could afford to purchase any newly made bass on the market it would most likely be one of these.
