Thunderbird Club

Mine might be worth 1/2 that...maybe.

On another note(Db): Used the Embassy on last night's gig. I do believe it's gonna work out well. I need to make some minor adjustments on the amp's EQ, which is dang near impossible onstage except on breaks(top/rear controls.
Saw an interesting oval window decal yesterday: small print at bottom-"Welcome To Florida" Large print in center-";)". You know.

Wondering how you find VBT vs VVT (or just VT) ? I’ve never used a blend control, just the 2 volumes.

Glad to hear it's going well with the Epi. That's a satisfying feeling. The opposite is, "Great, I just spent $$ on something that doesn't sound that good."

Anyone using their Birds with the new Zoom B6 unit? I’ve always stayed away from multi effects on guitar but I think bass is more forgiving with effects.

Zoom has been involved with 'multi-effects' for a while. Zoom and Roland. Some of their really early stuff is pretty hard to decipher unless you were one of the designers, but I have a Zoom unit from the late '90s and it has some very usable/adjustable settings.

I finally got around to looking further into the issues my Acoustic 150b is having, and i think I may have found the possible culprit(s):

..... even with the goop allegedly holding them, both were broken loose from the pcb

This looks to be in poor shape too?

What was that about smiling?

When you’re not in it……

A performer (as you know) is a human being and goes through many emotions/expressions while performing, including brow-furled concentration. Unfortunately, being 'not into it' is broadcasted to the audience just like a smile! ;)

I messed up as usual Geo.

He was totally into it.
I was there.

...or at least might be mis-interpreted... but.., anyone into listening to someone who is into playing/performing should "get it". Miles hated that Louise Armstrong pandered to a white audience by smiling too freely. That is a totally understandable reaction given the history of black performers in America up to that point. A sophisticated audience is on the same page as the artist on stage. :)

NO no - if anything I did (based on my addendum) - I get that he was totally into it and his audience including you 'got' that. Where would we be without a "bass face"? :D (not quite a smile... but delivers the appropriate emotion!) I was just making the point of the contrary.

It's different fer sure. And still new, but kinda fun to f---* with.

To clarify-some: both pups are at the same level wherever I set the volume knob. The blend gives me the percentage of each pup w/o having to change level(s). Example: I had a solo last night and for s&g I turned the blend past the detent(50/50?)toward more bridge pup. Interesting effect. Fun to experiment with.
