Thunderbird Club

A bit under the weather for the past 24...........

The back side is white, like the tone of this bass much better with Gibson pickups, currently has Ken Smith Rockmaster stainless on it and I'm liking its tone quite a lot. It has a nice lo midrange bump that becomes most present as you back off the bridge pickup a bit, neck still feels quite a bit bigger than my '76s and '64 though.

Hoping you get to feeling better!

I've gotta admit I'm really liking the Genzler 4 On The Floor. Used the '71 J with strings I was trying that didn't sound good like the Power Steels (which will go back on), but the 4OTF really helped and made it sound noticeably better. It's nice to have the four gears as they provide different flavors of overdrive. Not a very hot bass, and even when I used the B-15 (least drive) setting and with no breakup it sounded much better than in bypass. I could kick myself for not getting one of these before now.

By he way the first Genzler showed up today after getting here back from Tx...the second time....

Sorta Thunderbird related: I put a new set of SIT Power Flats on my Epi Embassy(I have a set on my TBird and like them). They're a bit less expensive-OK, cheaper-than the EBCFs(which I still love)but have very similar tone and, for those to whom it matters, no cobalt. I highly* recommend them. Plus, PURPLE SILKS!
