Thunderbird Club

27204648[/URL], member: 371933"]Optical illusion. Depth of focus makes it look close but it is well above the lugs. After I took the picture, I fixed it just in case.
Sometimes I solder the braid to a bit of solid copper wire and cover the joint with heat shrink. Then I solder the solid wire to the pot case. It makes it a little easier to deal with.

I know one thing..This forum makes me spend money.

Thanks George.

41 hours without power. It was 54F inside when I left for work today. The birds haven't complained so far, but they're just sleeping. There were power PEC trucks on our streets an hour ago per Sharon and neighbors, but I think the're just the crews getting trees away from lines.
I meant to take the white bird outside for a quick shot against the ice on Wednesday, but forgot.
Wow, didn't know you were affected. I hope it gets resolved soon and things aren't too terribly uncomfortable.

Or a reverse in anything except black, white, or tobacco burst. Gibson might gets some of my money if they took the hardware from the recent run of NRs and put it on reverses and sold them in the colors they did the NRs in. Or better yet, a bunch of other colors, too.

Or I'll just have to modify one. I already did! Next to get a new finish will be the fretless, since it's got a thick poly finish that doesn't feel so good. I don't think we have any purists around here. Jio's '64 has an added pickup, Veronica's has a neck repair, Scott has about a hundred NRs, and most of them seem to be reconstructed from toothpicks and then refinished in anything but tobacco burst. I can't imagine a Thunderbird person getting all bent over whether it's 100% original like the 7ender purists do. I don't know what Ric people do if you modify a Ric.

Really would sound great on a Sparkling Burgundy NR. Just sayin....;) A good way to spend more money since you have two sets.

As Jeff Spicoli would say.. "You D**k" :)
And I mean that in the best spirit of this club. Sweetwater has three Sparkling Burgundy NR's that I was looking at this morning.
I'm supposed to be the instigator.
Got a birthday next week. I'm getting close.

Cheers.

I am selling this one, discount for any of you here.
I wanted to get a nikki signature and flip it for the hell of it. Its pretty cool yet it doesn't fit with our shows much so i never play it. This can be a cool lefty or I can put it back right handed for a killer price on a gibson. Nice bass.
For Sale - Left handed gibson blackbird nikki sixx

RIC excommunication I’m guessing.

Except for the bridge, they all ditch the stock bridge from what I’ve seen

Hey, it’s the least I could do (from an enabling standpoint).
So, how are you liking the SITs on the NR?

I think the Ric club banishes you if you mod a Ric or purchase a non official Ric. ;)

It's a complement. Being named Donald, I was called Duck all the time, so nothing new. :smug:

I have a great birthday idea...
