Thunderbird Club

I think I'll be turning up the preamp's internal gain pot. I found the Bartolini Classic Bass pickups are wound a lot milder than the stock Gibson pickups. The volume in series is a little quieter than the DiMarzio Model P in my Precision, and split is weaker than my Rickenbacker 4001.
Sounds like a plan. The Barts I have don’t have “CB” in the part number. I couldn’t find any info on them. They measure 6.24K and 8.55K.

What looks like one of the anniversary? models - the gold ones - showed up in Ian's shopping vid, starting at 8:52

It's apparently at a place called Willie's American Guitars in St. Paul, MN, if any of you need to have one ;)
:)

Yep, it’s an Anniversary Bird. They’re getting harder to find and prices have about doubled in the last couple of years. I love mine, plays so nice. Unfortunately, Willies doesn’t seem to have it listed on their website. Although they have a couple of very sweet looking Rics…

Other than aesthetics, those are the same as any other 2013, right?

That is a nice looking Ric.

41 hours without power. It was 54F inside when I left for work today. The birds haven't complained so far, but they're just sleeping. There were power PEC trucks on our streets an hour ago per Sharon and neighbors, but I think the're just the crews getting trees away from lines.
I meant to take the white bird outside for a quick shot against the ice on Wednesday, but forgot.

Coincidence, the power was out here from Tuesday morning at 8:45 until Wednesday afternoon at 12:20. It's not cold here so that's no problem but the water gets pumped to the roof into a cistern so there was no water either. Highly irritating to have to walk down 9 flights and fill up 5 gallon pails of water. It's amazing how slow 28 hours can go by sometimes.
