HEY! Hey! Hey.(I don't have a passport.)GP visited and went to the gig?![]()
I has since looked 'em up. (A) N/A on the east coast.(2) not a porter or stout. Y'all are welcome to them. For those of us in EST zone, wuttinnahell's a 805?
They had some great lyrics, I don't remember this one though.
Thanks. Power came on about two hours later. But internet’s still out.Wow, didn't know you were affected. I hope it gets resolved soon and things aren't too terribly uncomfortable.
As Jeff Spicoli would say.. "You D**k"
And I mean that in the best spirit of this club. Sweetwater has three Sparkling Burgundy NR's that I was looking at this morning.
I'm supposed to be the instigator.
Got a birthday next week. I'm getting close.
Cheers.
Danged long haired hippie geek musicians.
“Pow” from “What’s Up, Tiger Lily?” We had it on the B side of the “Rain on the Roof” single.
Since I’m going to use my one and only bird for my first set tomorrow I have been playing it exclusively for that band’s rehearsals. I’m really loving my ‘97 Gibson T-Bird, so much so, that it’s in my head that I want another bird. Seems like the Eppi VP is a great bang for your buck option.
I understand it’s a set neck, rather than neck through. What difference might I expect when compared to my neck through ‘97 Gibson.
I feel like all my basses that are neck through, 3 newer Rickenbackers, (1 2017, 2 2019’s) and the T-bird have a solid, full and even tone across the strings that’s noticeable even when played without amplification. Does a set neck have that same solid even full tone?
What other differences might I expect to hear/feel between a VP and my ‘97 Gibson. The ‘97 is slightly modified with a Hipshot bridge and Lollar pickups.
I been playin' my set neck NR since 73. Don't know no better. No, the VP is neck through (as is the CP). The VP is the closest thing to the original bird that’s been out in ages.
No experience with the Lollar pups, so I can’t tell you how the VP would differ from those. But as was noted a couple of posts ago, the VP is neck through just like your ‘97, it’s roughly the same spec build as any of the modern Gibson birds except Epiphone did a decent job of bringing back some key features from the original 1960’s Tbirds.Since I’m going to use my one and only bird for my first set tomorrow I have been playing it exclusively for that band’s rehearsals. Cold, spot on, but cold!![]()
My pix are notoriously 'fuzzy'.I don't get it. Which probably makes it even more funny.![]()
Oh. Them guys. Try "All You Ever Do is Bring Me Down". We do that one with a sub guitarist-had no clue who did it. And so much for 3 chord R&R. Two will do.So, I’m thrashing along on guit and/or uke to a new (to me) band, the Mavericks from around Mr G Plaids neighbourhood.
So far two two chord songs that are a bit of fun. Damned if you Do and Dance the Night Away.
Do you lot know them? Is this a mine I should keep digging?
My pix are notoriously 'fuzzy'.
Yep. But they’re reasonably priced and have some longevity to them. Money well spent for my favorite tone.
Ken! This has your name on it! Buy it now!I am selling this one, discount for any of you here.
I wanted to get a nikki signature and flip it for the hell of it. Its pretty cool yet it doesn't fit with our shows much so i never play it. This can be a cool lefty or I can put it back right handed for a killer price on a gibson. Nice bass.
