I was just playing some Caro Emerald tunes that remind me of something your Bond band might play…

Thanks G - I dig it! Good bass playing and tone too - right up my alley. It reminds me of "Red Right Hand" by Nick Cave, which we do. We're also learning "Strange Game" from Slow Horses. We've been introducing just this kind of Noir material to augment our strictly Bond stuff. I'll send it to Cherie - I think she'll go for it.

Not a bad looking bicentennial clone in my neighborhood. I'm outta bass money currently. Doesn't stop me from looking though.

That's not a bad price at all, the '76 PG alone would sell for 200.00.

I didn't know Gibson did a '76 RI.

Never was a'76 RI, he's just made this one look the part, rather nicely too.

Oh, ok ... it seemed unlikely for Gibson to do something like that.

Wow! $200! And that one doesn't even have the 76 "bird feet" from 1976 that was used till they ran out or changed them. I'm not sure when the latest bass in the 70s had the bird feet. Any ideas on that? I know most '77s I've seen seem to have them.

That was nothing. One year we had over 9’ and I had to throw the snow over my head to clear the stairs. Only one second story window wasn’t covered. Had to shovel the roof as interior doors were starting to stick. News showed homes exploding from the load. Definitely a rare storm.

I don't have a date for when the PG was redesigned - removed the "76", I would figure by 1978, but with Gibson who knows, guys were just pulling parts out of bins and making basses - Norlin era. It is my understanding that some '76s were made in Nashville before production really started at Kalamazoo, but I am not 100% certain that this happened.

Thanks Donnie! We are working toward the goal of recording an EP or possibly an album this year.

I want a copy once it's pressed! :bassist: It's our (TSC's) plan as well. Record 4 more songs (3 originals) in March, have our 16 songs mastered, and get it in the cue to be pressed into an LP. Probably a CD too.

My '76 SN returns a: "Built in: 1976 or 23 January 2002, Manufactured in Nashville or Memphis. Acoustic: Bozeman, Montana. One dater said Kalamazoo. Clearly not a 2002.

Looks like '79 was the year the '76 feet were dropped according to my info doc, which I found while getting the '76 info.
