My aunt who lived in Palm Beach had a summer home in NC.FWIW, a lotta people in FL buy property in NC 'cos of 'the view', the trees, etc. Then it snows. Adios.
We've only talked about getting it onto streaming platforms, but physical copies would be really cool!I want a copy once it's pressed! It's our (TSC's) plan as well. Record 4 more songs (3 originals) in March, have our 16 songs mastered, and get it in the cue to be pressed into an LP. Probably a CD too.
I was in NC for a work conference in December. The weather wasn't much different from Vancouver. My aunt who lived in Palm Beach had a summer home in NC.
That's crazy stuff there. When that much white stuff shows up it's a clear sign from God for thinking people to move.![]()
I don't want to buy and butcher a VP just to put a 7ender neck on it. However if someone has, or knows of, or sees one for sale, would you please let me know?!
Thanks G - I dig it!Good bass playing and tone too - right up my alley. It reminds me of "Red Right Hand" by Nick Cave, which we do. We're also learning "Strange Game" from Slow Horses. We've been introducing just this kind of Noir material to augment our strictly Bond stuff. I'll send it to Cherie - I think she'll go for it.
If the seller had put a third screw in the pickups it would have fooled me at first glance. Very nicely done indeed. That's not a bad price at all, the '76 PG alone would sell for 200.00.
Never was a'76 RI, he's just made this one look the part, rather nicely too.
Sounds like you’re going down a similar path as I’m currently going down, but for different reasons. I think you’re after the VP sound with Fender neck ergos. I’m just tired of waiting for Epiphone to make an NR VP.VPs have ProBuckers, and my luthier doesn't care, a bolt-on still needs the neck pocket rerouted
If you or @JIO do physical releases (CD or LP) count me in.We've only talked about getting it onto streaming platforms, but physical copies would be really cool!

To that end, I successfully located an Embassy bass that was being dumped on the market at rock bottom pricing because of the incorrect bridge location. I think I paid just under $250 for it delivered. These use the exact same pickups and many other bits and pieces as the VP. It ended up being the pickup, spacer, trim ring, bridge, hard tail and strap lock donor to a $120 Rosser NR body and an $80 after market fender spec neck. When complete the new NR VP will have cost about what a new Standard VP costs, maybe less depending on the finisher I go with.
I think I still have a line on another complete Embassy fire sale with all the VP bits if you decide to go the same route. PM me if interested.
Those are the recent DeCola pickups. They are fantastic pickups. Somebody will be happy with those.
If nothing else, you could use them in a scrap yard to pick up junked out VW Bugs for the crusher. Those are the recent DeCola pickups. They are fantastic pickups. Somebody will be happy with those.

That was nothing. One year we had over 9’ and I had to throw the snow over my head to clear the stairs. Only one second story window wasn’t covered. Had to shovel the roof as interior doors were starting to stick. News showed homes exploding from the load. Definitely a rare storm.
Operative word: "summer".My aunt who lived in Palm Beach had a summer home in NC.
