Thunderbird Club

Mine's not that bad - prior to my acquisition, it got bumped on the top of the headstock.....

...... which, I've always assumed was what caused these.....

.....but I've had it for about two & a half years, with no increase in the damage & no apparent ill effects on the functionality

:)
The finish is thick poly. It is about as durable as they come until you crack it. Then it does what yours did. The wood can flex but the poly doesn't. If the wood is cracked on your Thunderbird, I would be surprised.

The latest forecast for our mountain place:
“Between 2 and 5 feet of snow is expected, a figure that could even reach 7 feet above 4,000 feet, according to the National Weather Service.

Six to 12 inches is expected between 2,500 and 4,000 feet, and 1 to 6 inches is expected between 1,500 and 2,500 feet, the weather service said.

The storm is also bringing rain to the Southern California coasts and valleys, and strong winds are in the forecast for the mountains, foothills, coasts and valleys.”

Our place is at 6,000 feet. I’m glad I’m off the mountain.

Great machine heads, have em on 2 basses.

I am very loyal/support companies who do it right; Gotoh, Hipshot, Schaller, Sperzel, D'Addario, Novak, Pat Wilkins and our very own Scott Dassons' Badbird bridge... to name a few.

It wasn’t that link I was trying to post. It was the one for the PH410. It would be stellar with your Carbine.

Ah, gotcha Marshall.
Not a fan of all speakers being 10's.
Found that out the hard way.

Now the PH 212, we can talk.

Yeah, i had this crazy rig.
