Thunderbird Club

Does this look like a Classic Pro?
The date seems right and it appears to have Gibson pickups. Also neck through.

Looks like it - the neck-through is the give away,

Also, TB+ pickups & no output jack on the front.

What's up with those tuners? Chrome knobs & washers on black tuners? o_O

Is that an aluminum (aluminium  ) string-nut?

All the way from Brazil….. what a cool ride that must be…,

Looks like he is still living his best life.
He is, indeed. I can't believe he's still alive. He's 15 and that is well past the expiration date for a big dog. We are not keeping him going for our own wants, which some do. He still likes going out and doing dog stuff like sniffing to see what animals have been in the yard and looking at the deer. But he has a hard time with steps (cognitively as much as physically), and thinks he can't jump on the couch or chair anymore. He has congestive heart issues, among other things, and I'm always balancing his meds to keep his breathing as easy as possible, but not strain the kidneys too much or dry him out. He's a lot of work and we haven't had a full nights sleep in months, but he's worth it. When we wake up, we're just glad he's still alive and are thankful for each day.

I can see it, and yes, it's def a CP.

@Instagator the silk on the saddles drive me nuts. That (and/or the fat double wrap near the ends) is why some of us use the modbar or barrel nuts or various other solutions to space the string balls further back behind the bridge. isView attachment 5005300 View attachment 5005299
Didn’t know that existed. My CP with EBCF needs that big time. The silks are all different lengths and all too long.

My paternal grandmother made great lamb dishes. Everything was in her head. So we have no idea how she prepared it.

my wife is 1/4 Basque. We’ve embraced the culture. Except the lamb. Try as we might, we don’t care for it.

Give me good ‘ol American corn fed beef.

That's living the good life right there! Good food and conversation via the Thunderbird club (and no phone on the table).

I don't use silked strings, so that's not a problem for me, but I've actually got a couple modbars I'll sell cheap if you want them. Even though the modbar clearly pulls the string back further, I started using barrel nuts because they're cheaper and easier to deal with on a single string.

Black? The two 3 point bridges have issues with purple silks and don’t want to get in trouble with the sub-club “The tone is in the purple silks.” Hate to get kicked out by resident princess fingers.

Ha! No, they're stainless steel but you can see the way they look in the pic I posted. I actually like the contrast, myself.

most people are right legged, thus approach the bike from the left, and at stops have their left foot on the ground and right on the pedal by default. I suspect this has more to do with it. Especially since most hearts are basically in the middle (safely behind the sternum), only slightly to the left.
I did the opposite when riding most of the time, from what I recall. Left stayed on the pedal and left went on the ground.
