I just noticed that Tim is wearing Adidas SL72s. One of the first modern running shoes. I went through several pairs in my former life as a distance runner.

Nah. I love it the way it is. It’s perfect. But I came very close to getting a set of DeColas which would eventually have found their way into a blue TBird. They are great pickups. As Maxwell Smart said, “missed it by that much.” Literally two minutes. The seller had two sets. @Engle got the first. I don’t know who beat me to the second set.

It annoys me that Gibson doesn’t offer bass pickups in their pickup shop. They’re missing out on what I think would be a tidy sum of extra cash.

Paying a white Ric with a white strap while wearing a white suit is pretty stylish, I gotta say. Pity your drummer didn't get the memo.

I tried to work on that but Mrs Gator is not so inclined to thin the heard so to speak.

Having said that the the front door is open for incoming.
I’ve said it before, my UPS guy and my wife seem to be more excited to see what comes in next.
I’m passively looking for a Gibson Ripper/G3
And a replacement for my 68 Telecaster.

Ha! Don’t count the shorty out! Nice deep bass and even tone throughout the whole fretboard. I know @godofthunder59 didn’t gel with them, but this one (with the Silverburst top refinish) can hold it’s own.

Definitely not! I'd still like to have one, but it's highly unlikely(not to be confused with Haile Selassie).

You should feel lucky that Scott didn't gel with them or else he would've cornered the market on them like NRs.

She knows best. Sounds like an open opportunity to get more Thunderbirds! Might I suggest adding a ‘15 to the club. And I’m still loving the BaCH. Such a playable bass. Fast neck and excellent build quality. I don’t mind the Artec pickup at all. But it will eventually be replaced by something with more growl.

Good point. There are only 400 of them on the planet, assuming that all that were made are still alive. I am so blessed to have one. And it is absolutely the most wonderful bass to take with you on an airplane. A Vox bass headphone amp and a set of headphones is all you need.
