Don't you have FOH for such a gig? I've got a couple amps/cabs here you could use with your GK preamp...

I've only tried one once and it was in a rehearsal hall, barn I think but I really couldn't judge whether or not I liked it. I've heard people get good sounds out of them though but have never owned one or even gigged with one. I'm originally from Mass and Ampegs were made in NJ so they were very common, even for guitar back then. There were also a lot of Sunn amps around, and Fenders. A guitarist I played with had an Acoustic combo.

I remember this movie. I ran x country in HS, for two years... The third year I discovered the bass, and everything else went out the window.

Cool! I loved that film when I first saw it! But to be honest, I've always been sports oriented - but not football. I was my grade-school's basketball star (cause I was tall) but didn't make my HS basketball team because everyone was taller! I played CYO basketball for a bit, and only ran CC in High School in an attempt to get a "letter sweater".., cause I knew girls responded to that. But I was such a failure, because I was mostly an art nerd and no girls followed CC or art... And what High School girls were interested in the bass-player in a HS combo?!

Im so un-cultured, all I know of this title is that Iron Maiden has a song of the same name, which is, I’m sure, based on this movie.

Which is also how I discovered the “Dune” books.
