Even more than that. The back seat area is huge. Bigger than any 70s Chrysler I ever owned or been in! Shoot, a fridge would lay on it's side in the back seat area once the seat is flipped up. There might be one there already and I've never noticed it.

Plenty of room for Grady's bed.

I'm reposting this from Chucky, will likely do so again too. It looks like the August dates are the favored choice - I see a Banzai Road Trip in my not too distant future!
Consider travelling to Seattle for next year's West Coast GTG, maybe with some advance planning we could get some of you fine California folks to come up for a visit.

I couldnt find anything on the bridge pieces to identify them. No stampings or numbers of any kind. It appears to be vintage or at least well used.

Someone asked about the intonation on it yesterday. It is not adjusted correctly. I havent really tried to make any adjustments because I really dont know how or dont want to make things worse.

with the aid of a teacher.

The book itself is good, but there is nothing like "knee to knee" instruction. There is the opportunity to be shown where technique is lacking (not doable with a video or book) and the opportunity to learn some things that make life easier not discussed elsewhere.

But I came to music later in life. I have less time to waste learning bad habits and correcting them compared to someone in their 20s. YMMV.

I have been learning really bad habits for more than 40 years. That means I will be a technique disaster forever. I hate to think what a real bass player would think of how I do things.

To make sure I'm clear, it would be describing a balanced response any and all of us could/should make when @PillO posts the pic of that less than shapely person "dancing" in the water melon bikini? Such a an affront deserves a response, but I'm rendered speechless with eyes watering every time.

Thx for the pics! Neat mod, even a bit of relic going on.
Looks like a good quality after market bridge (Philadelphia Luthier most likely) placed in the stock 3 point holes. If so, it’ll tune up just fine but likely won’t intonate correctly. No idea how far off it’ll be. With any luck it’ll be close enough at the 12 fret to not make a noticeable difference. Although not ideal, there are plenty of bass bridges out there that require various degrees of compromise on intonation (older two barrel Fenders and Dano bridges come to mind).

That said, if you can locate a used black Epiphone three point bridge you’ll be in a much better playing situation. Just note that Gibson three point bolts will not fit in an Epiphone body, the bridge will but not the bolts, so be sure to get 3 black Epiphone mounting bolts with your bridge purchase.

You can frequently find these bridges on EBay and Reverb and occasionally in the classifieds here. There might even be a club member willing to donate one to you. I’d give you mine but unfortunately I just gave the saddle assemblies to another club member, so mine isn’t complete anymore.

I really and truly can't tell what happened there. It looks like it's in the original 3-point stud location, so swapping it back wouldn't be too hard. But what is it? I sure don't know.

It almost looks like somebody grafted on a 1960s bridge, but that can't be quite right, either. This is an entertaining mystery.

That’s an awesome collection of set up info, but it might not cover how to do a three point, which has some critical key differences. I need to run to an appointment right now will will post a link to a three point setup later today, unless @KaraQ beats me to it.

Yeah, I was thinking I'd ship it back now, but it makes sense to wait. I also asked the rep whether I should ship it back per the RMA or dispose of it per his instructions. Careful Guy says to ship it back unless I get an official RMA cancellation.

shooting for the first weekend of Aug…..looks like we may be able to have it (at least part of it) at my friend’s……lotsa cool (vintage amps, etc) stuff there….

That's pretty sweet! I agree with you, though, I'd want the bridge to match the rest of the hardware.
