Thunderbird Club

I don't know why I was watching this, but in this video he measures the resistance of the pickups at the end of the guitar cable. So assuming this is accurate, I guess you don't have to remove the pickups to do it. I tried to have this start at that part.

It works, but the pot values will affect the measurements. I've forgotten more electronics theory than I remember, but the pots are in parallel with the pickups, so a 250K pot with a 10K pickup will yield a 9.6K measurement. 500K with 10K will give you 9.8K.
Probably close enough for Rock n Roll :D
From my Communications Tech background, I tend to like disconnecting components before measuring to avoid unknown factors and assumptions, but in a working guitar with simple wiring, I guess you don't really need to unsolder to get an idea of the DCR of the pickup.

An oldie from my FB feed, at Seattle's Funhouse.

…well, not quite a winery for me on Saturday:

Brewery is kinda like a winery, right? No? Yeah, no….

Using the white Eppi VP for the 2nd 2/3”s of the set. I just put new EBCF’s on it but, I’m not thinking ultimately these are the best choice of string for the VP. It’s tuned to Eb, and we drop to Db for 3 songs. It sounds good enough through my PF20t/PF112HLF quietly practicing tonight, but when the E is down to Db, it’s not the best. Ill be going through my AD200 MK3, OB210 and OB115 tomorrow and I’m sure that will kill it! The flats are really full but…

Thinking the VP and rounds are best….
After you've had plenty, it can be a winery or whatever you want it to be! I don't drink these days, but I'd take a brewery any day. I've yet to taste a wine that was worth having another glass--or even finishing the first one actually. I'm just about convinced people just tell themselves it's good so they don't seem odd.

My white VP has GHS Precision flats and sounds great. Boomers also sound great for my goals. Adds some heft. The burst currently is wearing various rounds as I'm trying a few sets to see which I like the best.

LOL - the name was always more than a bit cheesy. Dave Funk was the owner, hence Thunderfunk. As for reliability, pretty much bulletproof. All SS and very well built. But at the end of the day, it was a one man show and that one man decided it was time to retire with no one else to take the reins.

Here’s a link to an interesting interview of Dave Funk that sheds light on what the amp is all about and what makes it different than other amps…
Cliff Engel | Interviews - Thunderfunk Amplification

Some very interesting history on how the Thunderfunk came to be and just how intertwined a lot of the the bass amp industry was…
History lesson - Thunderfunk/SWR/Eden, etc.
Interesting. Thanks for posting.

LOL - love it! Makes a statement, either somebody so comfortable with themself that they don’t care what others think, or a great sense of humor. Thong sandals and I don’t get along, hate that wedgie between the toes.

I’m always keeping an eye out for different western style boots. I’d rock these mamas on stage if I were gigging…

Oh, heck yeah!

I gots short, fat feets. Boots that taper hurt like hell. Wellingtons are OK. Italian style shoes are completely outta the question.
I prefer the wider square toe since my feets like plenty of room. But any boot can feel awful if not the right size or not broken in properly. Possibly $400 boots always feel great, but that's too rich for my blood. But if I ever tied a pair on that were fantastic from the start, I just might drop that kind of money given they will last forever if properly cared for.
I have a some of these and some Dan Posts that don't cramp my toes or feet.

A friend of mine is walking around in a neighboring country, Argentina.
I asked to look for Hipshot tuners in guitar center stores, he couldn't find them; wasn't even my intention to order this pickup, but since it's cheaper there, bring it to me!!!!

I had a set with the adjustable poles decades ago in a Pbass. Killer.

Ordering a glass of wine(usually 'white')gives one a very visible container of liquid that they can then nurse for who knows how long. A few clubs, especially jazz, have gone under 'cos people think the "music should be free".
Well, somebody has to pay the bills. Wine nursers cost the venue money. And instituting minimums drives away customers that would actually spend money on somewhat overpriced food to enjoy the entertainment-happened at one of our semi-regular gigs. They shut the doors a few weeks later.
