we’ll make it work…Might be interesting, never played through the 4x10+1x15 Ampeg cab before. My Thunderfunk is rated at 450 watts into 4 ohms IIRC, and has speakon jacks. Will that work with the 1540 cab?

There's a special place for people who would wear those.
LOL - love it! Makes a statement, either somebody so comfortable with themself that they don’t care what others think, or a great sense of humor. Thong sandals and I don’t get along, hate that wedgie between the toes.
I had cobalt flats on my VP for quite a while, really liked them but switched them out with Fender 7250 nickel rounds and have been very happy. The Fender strings warm up the VP nicely and yet still let all the grit and grind that bass is capable of come through. I found the cobalts tamed a bit of the grit out of the VP. Only ever used the Fenders in standard tuning though, not sure how they’d sound or feel in Db.…well, not quite a winery for me on Saturday:

Brewery is kinda like a winery, right? No? Yeah, no….
Using the white Eppi VP for the 2nd 2/3”s of the set. I just put new EBCF’s on it but, I’m not thinking ultimately these are the best choice of string for the VP. It’s tuned to Eb, and we drop to Db for 3 songs. It sounds good enough through my PF20t/PF112HLF quietly practicing tonight, but when the E is down to Db, it’s not the best. Ill be going through my AD200 MK3, OB210 and OB115 tomorrow and I’m sure that will kill it! The flats are really full but…
Thinking the VP and rounds are best….
I gots short, fat feets. Boots that taper hurt like hell. Wellingtons are OK. Italian style shoes are completely outta the question.LOL - love it! I’m always keeping an eye out for different western style boots. I’d rock these mamas on stage if I were gigging…

I was/am the opposite. To me, the EBCFs(and the SIT Power Flats currently on the 67NR and EPI Embassy)add a bit of clarity to the 'darkish' tone I prefer. [I 'strongly dislike' rounds]This was the first thing I noticed and I’m on the fence about a last minute change to DR DDT 110-50 for today’s gig…
Absolutely nothing wrong with a good set of Wellies. The nice thing about Tim’s Boots is they are completely custom made to any size or shape you want. The bad thing about Tim’s is you pay for it and it can take up to a year to get them. I wear a EE boot and don’t get on very well with point or nip tips, never liked the look of square toes either, I’m just a round toe kinda guy.I gots short, fat feets. Make the GTG and you can see if SIT Power Flats are any different on a VP. Would love your opinion. I've seen boots like that before - quite a bizarre mutation of the functional western boot. (pointed to easily slip into a stirrup)
Or, doubles your chances on a Saturday nightIt's ambiguous.![]()
Put some metal on the ends and you have the two hit men from Better Call Saul.
I feel like the EBCFs tame some of the high end but I still get grit and grind. I guess we sll want something a bit different.I had cobalt flats on my VP for quite a while, really liked them but switched them out with Fender 7250 nickel rounds and have been very happy. Don’t get me wrong, Cobalt flats are my favorite flat and go smashingly well on just about anything I’ve tried them on. I just noticed a bit of of drop in grit and actually a bit of an increase in grunt (over the stock strings) when I put them on. When I replaced the cobalts with fender strings I found the Fender strings to be just about as warm as the Cobalts and got most of my grit back but did give up some grunt.I feel like the EBCFs tame some of the high end but I still get grit and grind.
