The only one Sonic Youth song I know (and dig)
Kool Thing was much more the Sonic Youth I knew and liked. That might have been the first song of theirs I heard.

Nice! The fifty goes on top BTW.
I was going to post the same video. That song is usually easier as an intro to Sonic Youth. They have some great songs but not a band for everyone.
I’m sure the exquisite Karen has a lot to do with that opinion. She was one in a kind.I admit, I like that version (much) better.
Interesting. Didn't know Russell and Bramlett wrote that. Who would have thought?
Hey hey, let’s sing one song for our ol’ Kentucky Home!Glad to have another brother added to the Kentucky contingent. I lived in Northern Kentucky for almost 40 years, moved to SoCal about 10 years ago, I do miss a lot about KY.
And? They explored and pushed the envelope. One of about a dozen or so bands from that decade I really like. And still listen to.A lot of their stuff is noisy and microtonal (out of tune)
You truly are a great friend, Dave! Thank you so much for all your help!
Awesome! What pups are in the bass right now?
If You end up liking these as much as your Lulls I might have to get a set for the BlingBird (but only if Duncan will do them in gold).
Seymour Duncan says they'll be shipping some pickups for this fellow on Friday.

You do realize you’ll have to be my bodyguard if @Ringhammer comes to the GTG.You truly are a great friend, Dave! Thank you so much for all your help!
He’ll get over it. He has already said as much. Although we haven’t met yet, he’s a great guy and glad it’s in the family. Which we all pretty much are.You do realize you’ll have to be my bodyguard if @Ringhammer comes to the GTG.
Ah. But so cool! One day, I will have a Bicentennial.Well, used to be white....

For those who asked earlier, the BaCH is more sculpted than the Gibsons. Rounder edges and a more generous belly cut. My ‘21 NR is 8 1/2 lbs per Sweetwater. This Bach is lighter. My guesstimate (I don’t have an accurate scale, only my experience) is about 7 lbs, 10 to 12 twelve ounces. Very close to my ‘15 Reverse.
Thurston has a nice NR Firebird in this one:
So where in SoCal Rumble? @GBassNorth and I meet, and need to plan a day this summer. Perhaps you can join?Hey hey, let’s sing one song for our ol’ Kentucky Home!
I grew up in Lexington and then moved to Los Angeles. Redondo Beach. I tried to turn them on to Bluegrass music, but I think they were a little freaked out by it, lol.
I’m starting to get excited! You, Frank, Chucky, Rosa, Geo, Dave, and of course, my buddy Jeff. And whoever else can make it. @KaraQ? We need to double the turnout this rear. Anyone who is available that weekend really needs to make plans to attend. @Gaolee, @Nocturnal @Border, @Ringhammer @Pontiac Thrasher and anyone in Cali, Oregon. Washington, Nevada, Arizona, or anywhere else, I guarantee it will be a highlight of your year. Unless, of course if you get married or have a baby). It's going to be a busy Summer for sure, we'll see what gets to go for a trip to Hollister this year.![]()
