Nice! The fifty goes on top BTW.

My contribution. All the other black ones are up on the mountain:

For those who asked earlier, the BaCH is more sculpted than the Gibsons. Rounder edges and a more generous belly cut. My ‘21 NR is 8 1/2 lbs per Sweetwater. This Bach is lighter. My guesstimate (I don’t have an accurate scale, only my experience) is about 7 lbs, 10 to 12 twelve ounces. Very close to my ‘15 Reverse.

Glad to have another brother added to the Kentucky contingent. I lived in Northern Kentucky for almost 40 years, moved to SoCal about 10 years ago, I do miss a lot about KY.
Hey hey, let’s sing one song for our ol’ Kentucky Home!

I grew up in Lexington and then moved to Los Angeles. Redondo Beach. I tried to turn them on to Bluegrass music, but I think they were a little freaked out by it, lol.

Well, I went and did it. I bought a non-Thunderbird. It's an El Degas 4001 clone like Engle's. Via Engle, who practiced the kind of enabling skills we all aspire to around here. I haven't set it up, so the action is a little high and wonky, but I like it a lot. Pictures to follow, although if you have seen pictures of his red not-a-Ric, then you know exactly what this one looks like. Or any other fire-glo Ric. It's amazingly pristine for a 50 or so year old musical instrument. I suspect it spent a lot of time under a bed somewhere.

Awesome! What pups are in the bass right now?
If You end up liking these as much as your Lulls I might have to get a set for the BlingBird (but only if Duncan will do them in gold).

It's had Orville pickups (TB Plus chrome covers) and presently has EY Guitars, which are ok, but I guess I'm used to something a bit different. It's such a nice bass, I really want to play it out more often than I have.

Rad!!! maybe bring this along with your beautiful self to the GTG?

It's going to be a busy Summer for sure, we'll see what gets to go for a trip to Hollister this year. :D

The head and cab go together, Dual Showman cabs are huge but I put replacement thumb screws that hold it on top of the cab so I just leave it there, reissue didn't fit, I had to buy some old ones on eBay. Those cabs vibrate so much you need them. That head had what I think were the original GE 6L6GC's in it when I bought it, they worked but were microphonic, had a hang tag too, it's a mid 1967 drip edge with the last black face circuitry, it sounds good, the speakers aren't original and I never took the back off to see what's in it. It's a double 12" cab.

So where in SoCal Rumble? @GBassNorth and I meet, and need to plan a day this summer. Perhaps you can join?

I’m starting to get excited! You, Frank, Chucky, Rosa, Geo, Dave, and of course, my buddy Jeff. And whoever else can make it. @KaraQ? We need to double the turnout this rear. Anyone who is available that weekend really needs to make plans to attend. @Gaolee, @Nocturnal @Border, @Ringhammer @Pontiac Thrasher and anyone in Cali, Oregon. Washington, Nevada, Arizona, or anywhere else, I guarantee it will be a highlight of your year. Unless, of course if you get married or have a baby).
