Thunderbird Club

I never realized you were that young.
yep….

Will be joining your long-haired white VP player club hopefully next week! I won't be putting the ashtrays but I raise you a tugbar.

We need to have our own club. 8-strings, Hiwatts, white thunderbirds, green NRs (once I get mine finished up), and Suncoast Harmonic Drivers (I picked mine up after hearing yours and it's now an always on pedal for me).

I've have searching for the right used Thunderbird the last year. A few days ago I found this one; a 2018 in really nice shape. I mostly play Fenders and Music Mans (men?), so the T.Bird is quite a different beast to say the least. I figured it would take some getting used to, but it felt great right off the bat. The sound is amazing - super clear and articulate. Light-ish weight and perfect balance. I'm loving it.

Here's one that would be a must have for me, i sooooo wish.

For Sale - Unique Gibson SG Mod Shop one of one
Love the concept, hate the guard! Looks like it was cut out of thin plastic Freeform with scissors. I bet it sounds great though!

I picked up some interesting things yesterday.....one was un-planned (and Thunderbird related!), the other had arrived much more quickly than expected.....
1)
Found this on craigslist yesterday unexpectedly, for a good price ($25!), from an Epi eb-0.......

.... everything but two of the inserts, which the seller had re-used for a Hipshot.
Important information, for my purposes, that I found out - the tuners are easily reversible in a few seconds, turning a 2x2 set into an inline-4 set
B)
This is not really Thunderbird related, so feel free to ignore this part if you like :)
I ordered this stuff on 5/22, it shipped 5/23, and arrived yesterday morning, 5/25 :hyper:

.... it's for the bass in the pic, my '96 sr1200.
I'd tried to repair the original electronics, but parts of it had been too damaged by previous owners :banghead: , so instead of trying to find good condition originals, I decided to just replace it all with an EMG set, that gives the same functionality as the original.
Thunderbird content)

:)
Are those tuners on the white headstock in the last pic stock? They look extra nice for some reason.

I've never tried an SG, I have to stop!!!!!! The price is right on that Greco too.
SGs are fantastic basses! They are my go to short scale.

Easily treated with antibiotics I hope...
;):D
Now that right there was downright funny!

Since motorcycles are allowed here, which one?

THAT is a beautiful Thunderbird! I’m sure it sounds even better than it looks, if that’s possible. I clearly need to check out Lulls available inventory more often!

You guys don’t just look like bass brothers, you look like blood brothers!
There’s a whole lotta cool in that pic!
