New string Day! Arrived yesterday.

I’ll be busy this weekend. Jason at Fret Nation has the SIT Power Steels at $15.95. Get ‘em while you can. And he tied Prime, where I ordered a couple sets he didn’t have from, with his free USPS delivery. Can’t beat that.

Great! Keep in touch my friend.

Question on SIT’s:
Power Wound = Nickel
Power Steel = Stainless Steel
Otherwise the same?

Also, hex or round core?

.........

By the way, Natural Oil finish, has some kind of lacquer, varnish?

Mine's just bare, oiled wood only.

I’ll be putting the DA tapes on the TV Silver Epi, replacing the set of the same that were cut too short and installed incorrectly when I got it.

One set of the Power Steels is for the Studio that Dave is babysitting for me.

Love the Power Steels, I have them on my Studio as well. I have two sets arriving today, love new strings!

MONSTER rig…..would love to hear it….
that cab looks like anything but an invertebrate to me…..Peavey and Ampeg make a great combo…

That cab is another one of my "work in progress" projects.
It's currently stripped down to the wood, waiting for me to order some DuraTex for it. And some grill cloth.

It does sound good with the Peavey though :)

I've been looking at different grill cloth colors/patterns from several places, not really found anything that matches the original.....not that "originality " matters too much I guess, it's not vintage, only 20 years old.
I noticed a couple of days ago, it's pretty similar to the cloth Peavey used in the 80s. :eyebrow:

I also noticed (aka, finally paid attention to) a couple of days ago that there's probably a couple hundred staples to come out, and be replaced. So, I get to start looking at staples and staple guns too :hyper: :meh:

So crap. Opened the package of the DA Tapes. No G String (I know, Ahem). Now I have to mess with an Amazon return. Which means a UPS store drop off. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Call before you return. 50% of the time I’ve had Amazon returns they instructed me to just keep it and they’d send me a new item.

Everyone needs a good staple gun.

Are you looking to make it black with the white piping again or go AV style with the silver/blue-green’70’s style.

I have redone a number of cabs and head grilles with the ‘70’s style, lots of work and frustration fighting with my inner perfectionist getting the lines straight and having it be stretched tight.

Hmmm I wonder if mine was in the final run. Same notice on AMS . Maybe Gibson will do a reissue . Or maybe Epiphone is gonna bump it up to the inspired by Gibson range like the guitar. I'm glad I got one .View attachment 5125907
I was playing my Epi Explorer the other day an realized the E string buzzes because it doesn't have enough break angle over the nut. I think I can solve it by putting on tuners that have a straight shaft.
I moved the strap button from the bottom edge to the back. That definitely puts the bass in a better playing position for me.

One, I didn't know California ballots were all Spanish now.
Two, you might want to get out just in case the Inquisition Party throws an Inquisition Party. Sounds like it could get serious.
Three, I know some people who live in San Ramon. He's an architect consultant and his hobby is making wiring harness for older Porches.
Porch wiring harnesses...for lighting?:roflmao:
