Porch wiring harnesses...for lighting?![]()
California publishes voting and driving booklets in about 50 languages. Fortunately, this one is the real deal from Spain. One, I didn't know California ballots were all Spanish now.
Two, you might want to get out just in case the Inquisition Party throws an Inquisition Party. Sounds like it could get serious.
Three, I know some people who live in San Ramon. He's an architect consultant and his hobby is making wiring harness for older Porches.
I know enough about lighting to be dangerous! Most of my house has Lutron lighting control. Can we dork out on lighting, I'd love that!

I was working for an Electrical contractor when we did our reno, so I went for it.Love Lutron!

I’ve never tried driving Porches, but I would think they would be incredibly slow, unless they were part of a mobile home in transit on the highway. One, I didn't know California ballots were all Spanish now.

That cab is another one of my "work in progress" projects.
It's currently stripped down to the wood, waiting for me to order some DuraTex for it. And some grill cloth.
It does sound good with the Peavey though![]()
Bedazzled butt
I was thinking plywood, metal, whatever’s handy. That’s what I’ve done before. When I recreated the wiring for my BC Rich Eagle, I mounted all the components on a piece of pickguard material, wired it and then transferred it to the bass.
Indeed. But I’m a purist. While I own a copy of Southern by the Grace of God, I have not followed the post-crash version of Skynyrd. Other people are free to enjoy it as they will.Did you say Allen Collins???![]()
rehearsal spot we used had that exact same rig…..TB+ with RS66 sounded truly thunderous (can’t think of a better word) through that….That cab is another one of my "work in progress" projects.

Did you try it? Much better than the Big Chief paper.I had a chuckle reading that. Brightened my day. Thanks Geoff.
Yeah, we had glue eaters in school. Never understood them.
No problem! We try on the best coast. I’ve enjoyed my meetings with George and Kara. And meeting those who made it to the GTG last summer.
The upcoming GTG will be even better with about a dozen of us. One coming from NY, one from Vancouver, one from Arizona, two from Seattle, and probably seven or eight of us from CA. There’s still time for anyone else to join the fun, 08/04 to 08/06 in Hollister, CA (Chucky’s stomping grounds). Just say the word and we’ll fill you in on the particulars.
This is a special “motorcycle gang” as we’ve been referred to by some in the GP.
Take Dave for example. He didn’t start hanging here regularly until some months before the GTG last year. He showed and fit right in. He even brought beer. A few months ago, he saw a rare Studio TBird become available near him. He offered to check it out if anyone wanted him to. I jumped at his offer, it checked out, he made a stellar deal and took it home for me. I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
Irv did the same for Will with a bass that became available in Vancouver.
I’m not sure of the particulars about how it got across the border and down to Seattle. I’m sure it was all on the up and up.
And Veronica is bringing Will’s VP to the GTG for Dave who is buying it.
As soon as I broke my ankle, George reached out to see if I needed to ride up to the GTG with him and Andy, who he’s picking up at the SB airport. We’ll see how I’m doing in two weeks and decide.
This motorcycle gang is truly special.
Edit: And one from Texas!!! Sorry Miles. It has been a very long day.
Yum!
yeah, some serious candy……about 200 cars, not a single AMC anything….Yum!
‘69 Camero, my favorite Gen 1 year
‘66 Gen 1 Mustang (far from stock) but nicely done
‘57? Tbird in the only color I like with the Gen 1 body - triple black
Some great stuff there!
They said initiate the return online. The strings are $52.95 so I guess they were above their threshold?Call before you return. 50% of the time I’ve had Amazon returns they instructed me to just keep it and they’d send me a new item.
