Thunderbird Club

Ok my haole remark was coarse, as it would be for any high-level fashion person used to being seen as glamorous, but also needs to don a little "edge", and so is also seen wearing the brand of a rough-and-Tumble, edgy, shock-metal band to do her presenting gig... when really she's more like a poster girl for the tumblr bathroom selfie crowd...

Sorry. I'm sure she's very nice. And I've probably taken this far enough...

Thanks! You know how the top menu lists: "all", "guitar" and "bass" (I don't see it on the image @kat888 was nice enough to post). The SCF option doesn't show up under bass, which is the menu option that I was searching under.

On the apps menu of pedals, there is an option titled: "bass amps". And the SCF setting is not listed there, when I look at the multiple/combined effects available. So, I am guessing that I couldn't get it to work on the amp now that I found it. Nevertheless, this is a really cool toy.

Yeah, the app isn't exactly intuitive. I keep losing the "combined TonePrints" lol

She's a Kardashian, she'll get over it.

At the moment the simplest option would appear to be a standard Epi Bird case and cutting new polystyrene for the body section. The faux-fur may even be able to be reused, depending on how it's attached to the existing cutout. Anyone have experience doing this or similar?
In the Epi Bird case, under the faux fur is bead type styrofoam. I had to modify my cases to allow for the Steinberger Strap Hook I added to my two (if anyone recalls my posts back several dozen pages...). Perhaps you could gently peal out the fur (it's attached with spray-on adhesive, comes loose relatively easily), remove the entire body shaped styrofoam block (probably also spray-on glued in, you'd likely have to get a sharp object under it to cut it loose as a complete block), turn it over, spray glue it back in, and reglue the fur? Sounds like it could work in theory anyway.

If he is building you a NR, would he not be providing a case as well?

The NR case is no longer available ... and shipping the bass disassembled means it's about two thirds cheaper than shipping in a case due to package size restrictions. It comes with a gig bag. I'm not happy carrying my Bird in anything but a hardshell case.

Hey guys. Been gone for a week. back for a couple days before I split for a couple months. Once again i'm thankful to be home to see my girls; my wife, my daughter, and my T-bird.

safe order... ;)

'full of stars'?

As my homie Carl Sagan was wont to say, we are all made from star stuff.

"My God, it's full of stars!"

About Haoles, I don't think a person becomes a haole until they go to Hawaii, much like we guerros aren't gringos until we go into mexico.

Location location location.

Random tidbit. I love my USA peaveys. Hard to finish this post with the foundation in my lap.

I got me a T-Bird (Epi)- Fender guy for 30 years, it took a while to get used to the neck, but I like it - relocated the strap buttons and it's good to go. I have no desire to "Fenderbird" this one. View attachment 1057932

Did you do the "Buy it Now" option on eBay for this Pelham Blue TBird or did you get it somewhere else? Either way, congrats! If it's the eBay one that I had placed a bid on, then that explains it's disappearance within minutes of me getting top bid. There was about 5 days left on it when I bid and poof it was gone. :roflmao:

I made up for it though and I'll be posting pics soon. ;) :smug:

Shhh... don't say anything, @Mike A

Thinking about a suitable case for an NRBird.

The ABS hardshell case I have is 120cm x 35cm internal, which is too short for a Bird (hence my earlier query about the dimensions of the EB3). I struggled to find anything that long when I was looking for a case, so not optimistic about finding anything else Bird-length.

Pretty sure that Rob (the guy that wrote the new Gibson bass book) reworked an Epi case to fit a NR. He was able to reuse the fur as well I believe. I tried to find the old thread about it at the Bass Outpost but could not find it. FWIW, the case for my Epi NR does not fit my Bach NR because the Bach is too long. Carlo is probably a good person to ask about what case would fit NR's and which don't.

You can turn a rectangular Epi Reverse TBird case into an NR case by peeling back the fur and flipping the foam. I did it after Rob figured it out.
