Our corner of the classroom was getting fairly steamed up. The obvious connotations were more and more obvious all evening. Fortunately, probably for both of us, I never saw her again. But dayum! She sure was cute. It's the "experiment about genetics and generations" that has me wondering what the actual physical science component of the "experiment" actually involved.![]()
Any ideas what that bass amp is? I tried to solve the name before the book's release but then I didn't have that picture:

The amp in the distance looks like an Acoustic Control 150 to me. The cabinet may be an ACC cabinet with the grill taken off. I don't know what the amp that's up close is. It could be another 150 with a different shell. The EQ makes me think it's ACC, but the location of the input jack says no. If that's really what I'm seeing. Whatever it is, it's in a rack. The piezo tweeters look like something from the 1970s. I'm pretty sure several companies made something like that.Any ideas what that bass amp is? In my HS senior year I was engaged to a Junior from another school. She turned out to be a mental case (like her parents and her sister) so we broke it off after I graduated, but I was stalked for a solid two years afterwards and had to have bouncers at my wedding carry her off the premises when she tried to crash the ceremony. After that I moved out of state and she lost track of me. Forty years later I still had real reservations moving back to CA because of her (violent psycho). It’s one of the reasons I moved to SoCal and not back to the Bay Area.

I think you mentioned that before....Our corner of the classroom was getting fairly steamed up. The obvious connotations were more and more obvious all evening. Fortunately, probably for both of us, I never saw her again. But dayum! She sure was cute.
Stalkers. I had one my junior year of college. Never started much of a relationship but she thought we had one. She was a Freshman. She bothered me on and off over a six month period. I think she transferred after that year.Your song was hands down better than the “Loser” song. Vote gladly cast.
I’m not a slapper, so can’t really offer any insight. However, I can steer you towards @Chucky Stiletti here in the club who does slap on stage and has probably dealt with your situation. He might have some tips for unique string selections or EQ settings that solve the problem. He’s always willing to help, PM him and see what he says. I know that in addition to his thunderbirds he also uses Jazz and P basses, so maybe that’s what he’s slapping on IDK.
It happened in my HS but mostly because of an unplanned pregnancy. Two of my friends went that route. Neither marriage lasted more than a couple of years. I know at least one of them went back for their GED.

Very cool!
I’ll give ya the whole story over a couple of drinks at the GTG. It’s a hoot! Let’s just say they could make an entire suspense comedy movie out of my wedding day.For the sake of those of us still in the Bay Area, what’s her name! Show I pic! Who knows where she’s lurking.
JK- Luckily I’m content in my drama free relationship and have long since retired my wandering eyes… No chance of connecting with anyone, crazy or not.

“Maybe Traynor Mono Block“
Yup , that’s exactly what that is.

I might mention it again a few times. It is one of those facts that bear repeating. She sure got my attention, and apparently I got hers. She didn't look blind, so I don't know what that was all about.I think you mentioned that before....![]()
I had a girl stalk me for a while, in the 10th grade. Remember the tall, gangly girl - "Big Ethel" - that was always chasing Jughead in the Archie comics? Well. this girl might have been her inspiration; and she was after me - even though I don't think I was anything like Jughead. And, like the comic book girl, she was one Hell of a chaser... Since we were living on a very small airbase (RAF Wethersfield) in the UK, it was very hard to avoid her - but, GOD knows I tried. Fortunately, my father got transferred to RAF Mildenhall that year (no idea why), so we had to move. And, although we all had to go to the High School at RAF Lakenheath (there were only 2; that one, and one at RAF South Ruislip), I never saw her again. But, I looked over my shoulder an awful lot for a long time...Stalkers. I had one my junior year of college. Never started much of a relationship but she thought we had one. She was a Freshman. She bothered me on and off over a six month period. I think she transferred after that year.
I had a friend in my sophomore year dorm who was stalked by a crazy guy. She was in the room below mine. The guy thought she dumped him for me. She dumped him because he was psychotic. One night I got a call from campus police saying that the guy was outside our dorm and he had a gun. I went down to the girl’s room; she was freaking out. Her parents ended up coming and took us to their house. The police arrested the guy, he left school and I never saw him again. The girl essentially went into hiding after that. She arranged to do most of her coursework from home. We casually dated some, but it was hard. She lived an hour away. Then I met my now wife. The girl and I remained friends until I went to law school.
