Thunderbird Club

Hmm, with enough artistic filtering my Frankenstein plywood "Sklar - Sinclair" J doesn't look bad at all. Even with that cardboard padding.

I finally found a quote from James McNew from Yo La Tengo on switching to a Thunderbird since I always knew him to play a Jazz Bass. Now I have to re-listen to Electr-O-Pura. I love that album and never knew he recorded it with a Thunderbird.

The Thunderbird was a pandemic purchase. I really like it. It's a recent reissue. The pickups are great, really dynamic response, gets along very well with distortion, extra-long neck with no dead spots anywhere. I recorded Electr-O-Pura with a Thunderbird that lived at Alex The Great studio in Nashville, and I never forgot!
