Thanks, yes - no cast! It'll be a year in October since the CT surgery. It's not `100% but getting better.

Looking good! Having played a number of NRs this weekend, I will definitely be building one.
I can highly recommend it. Great people and the opportunity to play a number of beautiful basses you may not ever see otherwise.

I got home an hour ago. I took the scenic route down Hwy 25 that runs by Pinnacles Nat’l Park. Such a cool highway that runs through the a sparsely populated secluded valley. The perfect end to a perfect weekend.
He’s a magician behind the lens! And a great guy too.
So much fun dialing in sounds (or trying to) with ya!
I had John Caruthers put a Pure Tone barrel jack in my ‘15 Reverse when the stock jack crapped out. It’s really nice.
You’re always welcome! It would be great if our South American, Aussie, Scandinavian, and club members from the other countries can make it next time.
Just got home and back with wifeypoo, missed her a lot, she’s doing good and is so glad that I was able to join the ThunderFray this year. Chucky and Rosa were exceptional hosts, thanks so much @Chucky Stiletti for turning your house, cars, yard and garage over to this motley crew! I certainly watched much more than I played, but in doing so I was able to see some really cool playing techniques and styles. There’s a boat load of talent in this club, and to think, only a fraction of it was able to attend this GTG. Awesome time, awesome people, and truly awesome basses and related gear.
Based on what I saw and heard at the GTG I now have a thousand ideas bouncing around in my head for a sequel to the BilingBird. I gotta get that tremolo pedal info from @JIO (please post a photo of it, it kills!). I gotta get my ThunderCaster pickguard fab in the que with @Engle asap, also can’t wait to hear your daughters thoughts on the Kala bass you won. I gotta do something about my Outlaw GAS, thanks @TBird1958 for bringing that odd duck and be sure to have Frank patch that pocket amp into a full size cab for a real treat. @JJR58 thanks so much for the vibrato technique pointers, can’t wait to spend some time in the woodshed working on them. @MCF ping me when you get a chance and we’ll work on some soldering tips and tricks, and give that A/E bass you just bought a nice workout. @Stealth57 be sure to pass on a big thumbs up to whoever made that Baklava, it was to die for, also try not to blow your speakers out with that overdrive pedal! @Miles_ONeal wear that lady killer badge proudly, not many bass players get to make that claim. @Nocturnal great hanging with you on the trip up and back, we need to start comparing notes on bass purchases, we have very similar interests, this is the band I thought you might like… https://www.amazon.com/Pet/dp/B000002JWR

To all those that attended, safe travels home! To those that couldn’t, maybe next time, well worth the time and money to put faces on all the names and take in some totally immersive great bass karma with phenomenal friends and players.

Frets or not, just me I would put the neck on straight. I don't think fanned necks are a thing yet.

GHS stopped making them a few 3-4? yrs ago, have made statements indicating they may start making them again, but that's been years ago as well. I seriously doubt it after all this time. I got a set of 105s from this seller. He has one lighter set left.

I have always like GHS Pressurewounds (Alloy52) on this bass, and tried the Progressives and really loves those as well. (I have always like exposed core E strings. Loved the old Fender Super Bass sets.) Figured can't beat $15 for great strings.
