Thunderbird Club

I think we determined a while back it's easier to cut the solder on metal covers with a dremel, but I can't remember who did that. Might have been Dave troubleshooting a pickup issue with his VP?
Not me. I just unsoldered the lump of solder that was grounding the braid to the back of the pickup. I found the issue with the screw grounding the hot lead before I had to open the can.

Your blue Bach is awesome!

I'm likin' it!, just not enough time to enjoy playing the bass lately, I need to be a kept Queen. :woot:

We did pick up Frank's new bike this past Friday, he's a pretty happy guy.

All I picked up was a Manhattan............there was a Scotch later.

How did you guess? :D
Even though we still haven't had the pleasure of meeting in person, I think I know you well by now.

BTW, I dialed the '05 Studio a little more after letting the strings settle in. Played it for about four hours yesterday during 'Shed Sunday." You would absolutely love the tone it puts out. The pickups in it are pretty special.

Tell Frank Congratulations! I love it. It looks like a very comfortable ride. Old school. No crotch rocket nonsense. If my wife would only let me…..

It seems the folks at Gibson and Epiphone come up with a new pickguard and TRC for most every production run.

The 2018 Epi IV pickguard/TRC I did for Dave don't match Marshall's Silverburst Custom Shop.
Interestingly the CP and VP have the same TRC, but different pickguards.

I can work from a paper tracing or pdf. With pdfs, we just need to ensure there is no resizing.
I'll probably never get around to a new pickguard. I could make one if I ever got around to it.
