Thunderbird Club

TB+ dimensions are bigger, sure the Thundebuckers won't fit the black case as is?
Funny you say that. I did some measurements yesterday as I await the arrival of the Gibson "vintage" Tbird humbucker from the Gibson Pickup Shop. I expect I'll be among the first to get one as I bought it the day they became available. It should be a drop-in to the BaCH II so long as it is the same dimensions as what is in the '21 NR. I haven't found a source to confirm the dimensions.

Gibson finally offering the "vintage" and "modern" TBird pickups through the Pickup Shop is huge. I'll be getting a set of the "modern" pickups for the Epi Goth so long as they'll fit. If I can find the dimensions. Otherwise, it'll be a set of Lollars, but a pair of those will cost a couple hundred more than the Gibsons.

I'll be setting a date with George for soldering class and hopefully get the new pickup installed in the BaCH. I'm pretty stoked.

I'll probably never get around to a new pickguard. I could make one if I ever got around to it.
Irv is a great resource. I'm cleaning up my collection and seeing what should be done to make them how I want them. For at least the next twenty years. Have him do it now. He's willing, enjoys doing it, and the results are great.

I'm likin' it!, just not enough time to enjoy playing the bass lately, I need to be a kept Queen. :woot:

We did pick up Frank's new bike this past Friday, he's a pretty happy guy.

All I picked up was a Manhattan............there was a Scotch later.

nice ride!

I'm thinking black chrome, although powder coated black would match the black bridge better.

Carlo did a couple builds with powder coated pickup covers. Pretty sure he coated the cans before the pickups were built so I think you are on the right path.

For those that have sold used gear on reverb, what is their cut? Example, if the NR is listed at $1640, what does the seller get?
I sold an amp for a friend thru Reverb recently and the purchase price was $900. It was a local only deal so no shipping involved. After fees the payout was $823.56. The new owner also paid around $70 in taxes as part of the transaction.
