I have written to the seller twice and no response. He says it is also listed on OfferUp, his preferred communication platform, but no search ever turns up his V4 within a couple hundred miles. Oh well.

Ohhh the fun of buying and selling online…. Trying to sell a 1975 P-bass (not original but a well built, high quality parts, excellent player and fantastic neck from '75) and having the worst time on this one, parade of flakes. Before this I'd actually had a good run on my local CL, but not so much now.

Never understood why some pickup makers refer to their bass pickups as rhythm and lead. Unless of course it's just because they are mired in their guitar world and only dabble in bass offerings (hey, kinda sounds like Gibson).

I have two coming, probably today. The was no different option when ordering for neck or bridge. It'll be nice if one happens to be wound a touch more than the other, but if not, I'll compensate with pickup height.

It will be interesting to see the dates on them. I'm really glad they are now making these available through the Pickup Shop given how much I love my '21 NR. It's been months since Scott clued us in that Gibson might be making them available. It is worth the wait.

Maybe we'll see a Reverse Thunderbird with them next year? And in cool colors like the NRs?

Gibson is moving slowly under the new management. But things are definitely better now. There are three Reverse and one NR Thunderbird models available. I know Ken is still waiting for a lefty though…

Not holding my breath. But in the meantime, I'm surprised how close I get my TB+ to "vintage" pickups with basically string choice and EQ.

You are correct. I'm suspecting that a set of the new "modern" Pickup Shop releases will find their way into the Goth before the end of the year. Or maybe the Sparkling Candy Apple Red Epi LE CS….

Brother, as a decades long avid Porsche driver, club member, Director of Advertising, and one time Cayman S owner I feel your pain. At some point in time we all have to take one for the team. Looks like it's your turn. So do your best to power through the inconvenience, hardship and humiliation that comes with owning a Porsche and try to keep a stiff upper lip. And for heavens sake, wipe that smile off your face!

I've always liked the warmth of the TB+ pickups, but the bite of the VP 760ProBuckers. Now that I have an Eppi CP with the TB+ pickups in roughly the VP positions I'm finding a lot of that great VP bite while retaining most of that TB+ warmth. They truly are great pickups.

"Good sense." If Ida had good sense, I would have been an Engine Man instead of an Electronic Technician. During a radar troubleshooting lab in training school, I had one hand on the chassis (ground/earth) and the other hand brushed against the one of the three primary power fuses (3 phase power) of an AN/SPS-10 radar and I was thrown across the room like a bowling ball. Fortunately, I wasn't hurt nor did I hit anyone else in the class and the follow up mandatory EKG didn't reveal heart damage.

You're very fortunate considering it was 3 phase. But you know that.

I mostly work from my home office and I'm fine with that. It doesn't work for some people. Some need/want to get out and others need someone making sure they are working.

New Pickup Day!!!!

UPS delivered it around 10:30 last night. Didn't ring the bell or knock. Left it on the porch. I saw it on the camera so it was ok. But I was too lazy to go downstairs and bring it in. It took five days for the free shipping from Nashville to SoCal. Not bad. Particularly for the total price with tax at
$139.64.

Since this is probably one of the first to be seen in the wild, here are some pics.
