I feel like I've seen y'all praising these pickups. Asking 5, the rule of beat up CL tells me this child probably go 2-3. Is that worth it? I have no idea, but I know if anybody would care about this stuff it'd be y'all.

Most Grecos go for about 2x that, it seems. If the other pickups are original, it's a deal.

If you are a fan of Entwistle's T-Bird tone - and if you are here, you probably are - you absolutely must check out the just-released 10 disc release called "Who's Next | Lifehouse." Four of the discs are from live shows recorded in 1971 - 4.26.1971 (The Young Vic, London) and 12.13.71 (Civic Auditorium,San Francisco) and just after The Ox started using T-Birds with his Hi-Watt stack. To my ears, these are, by far, the best sounding commercially released live Who shows from Entwistle's T-Bird era. The San Francisco show, in particular, just rips and Entwistle's bass tone kills. Highly recommended!

After using my bass case rack for a week, I decided it could use more rigidity. I added a bigger back support rail and a brace between the lower rails. Now you can load cases filled with birds and not worry about the weight.

That would be absolutely perfect for the basement music room I’m slowly getting together at the mountain place. What did you end up spending for the materials? Baltic birch looks to be well worth the expense.

Interesting. I'm 2 for 2 working great with the Supertone.
I gave up on using it. Never could get it to work right. Hipshot, being the great company they are, even sent me different length springs and screws to help solve intonation issues. But in the end, I never could get low enough action to suit me on the Epi IV I used it on. Even with shimming. So I went back with the three-point for that bass and it works fine. Like @Ringhammer, I love the Babicz. It offers more intonation and string height adjustability.

Does any you know of a good source, preferrably within/or with low shipping costs to Europe, for a(n affordable) replacement pickguard for an Epiphone Thunderbird Vintage Pro? The standard one in white does rub the eyes a bit.

Asking for a friend, of course.
@Engle can probably make you one. Not sure what it would cost to get it to you from Vancouver though. At least they’re relatively small and lightweight.

His voice was so incredible. When I was little, maybe 7, my Mom took us to see a movie of theirs. It was one of the experiences (along with the Beatles) that got me so into music.

I'll have to look up that movie. Seeing them again now makes me really appreciate their exaggerated goofy schtick. Pop bands were doing everything they could to differentiate themselves from all the hundreds of bands popping up in the '60s. I love the stage props!

Ive never had intonation issues.
And I can get stupid low action.
Just tapped down the inserts, bridge is seated property again, we’ll see what happens.

use one of the pups on your BaCh, sell me the other one…..
If I were going to go try getting it from WA, I’d have to get the seller to ship it or impose on one of our friends there. And assuming the pickups are the magic ones, I have uses for them. But I’m sure Will or V would want them if they went to the trouble to pick it up.
