Does anyone here know where to source Gibson branded tuners for my 91? I've searched but no luck yet, thanks!

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think my '89 had Gibson branded tuners as stock, they may have been from Grover. I changed them out for Hipshots so long ago now.......

$2200 on eBay.

This is awesome, I’ve been looking at a few of these greco tbirds but haven’t found one locally enough to play and (seemingly incorrectly) was dubious of them not being a Gibson etc. am going to do some diving onto YouTube to get a feel for them but if you say they have that sound then I’m mostly convinced already.

The Grecos are also killer, and a bit shorter. There's one in the classifieds for under a grand, and @WillyW had one for sale as well.

I haven’t listed it here because I’d prefer not to ship, and if I do ship I’d prefer it goes to a club member.

mine is an ‘88 tb-70, ‘21 NR too

My ‘95 had three Gibson branded ones and an exact match replaced one that was branded Schaller, so, Ima gonna say that Schaller made the ones that were branded Gibson, and those are the ones where the set screw is offset when compared to the Grovers that came on all my post 2000 Gibby ‘birds. The Hipshots are perfect for replacements for the Grovers, but not the Gibson/Schaller ones.

I’m picking up a black ‘97 Gibson ‘bird tomorrow and I will be replacing the tuners with Hipshots, however I do not know if they are Gibson or Schaller, but I do know that they have the offset set screws, so as much as I don’t want to put extra screw holes in the back of the headstock, I even more don’t want black tuners on this one.

We'll be having a club GTG in Seattle sometime in 2024, let me know if you'd like to join us, there will be Thunderbirds, alcohol, Thunderbirds, food, Thunderbirds and it may go on for several days.................
We'll probably visit Seattle's music stores to, just to come up for air, possibly a visit to The Museum of Flight.

Will there be room for tb T-bird members before sometime in 2024? ;)

These BaCH basses - I only recent found this forum/club and there are many things that have, no doubt, been covered previously but I know nothing about these instruments and they look just the ticket!! Is this actually a brand or a club member's project? A single pup 'Bird with the bridge/tailpiece combo, droolworthy indeed!
