Thanks for the pics. Are those pickups microphonic in your bass? I have seen a couple of people complain about that online.

Face dive (1) makes it the perfect pairing with a neck diving bass and (2) may be why the sound board is messed up.

That was my assumption too. Would explain why the speaker screws were stripped out of the soundboard as well.

yep, it’s a big potted piece of plastic, epoxy, magnets and wires…

I doubt it’s possible to fix it.

This is just too good not to post. And it was a Thunderbird hauler. Thanks to Geoff for sending this to me.
This is a '77 and mine was a '76 (which IMO had nicer grill and different taillights). I had the same interior as this one. Some of the plastic door panels on this one have faded to a greenish color, but were originally a nice blue. My carpet was super thick and plush. And that sound.... Have mercy Miss Percy! This sure brought back some memories. Needs white letter tires like I had it would be ready but mind had the same rims.

Met a nice guy from Edmonton today as we were leaving the beach place. I mentioned I lived in Bako, and he wanted to talk about the Bakersfield Condors, the main feeder team to the Oilers. He knew the name of every player for the Condors over the last several years. You Canadians. Super nice. And you love your hockey.
