A friend in Brooklyn sent me a package!

Double boxed and bubble wrapped! It took exactly one week to travel across country.

I’ve wanted one for years. Now to set it up tonight.

Did Jeff enable the enabler or did you enable yourself and Jeff went along for the ride?
Both. It’s been in the works for a long time. We talked about it at the 2022 GTG. He wanted to find a new amp. And I’m a Mesa fanboy. I almost bought one of the last ones made in 2017. I’ve been kicking myself ever since. It’s in very good condition. Win win for both of us.

Slight rant: after storing it it in its case for few months (which is the “do I need it” test), I broke out my Fender AV II 1960 P. In the end I listed it on Reverb as “Fender American Vintage II ‘60 Precision Bass 2022”. The first message I got was a guy asking if I had the certificate of authenticity paper work. Like it’s a real 1960 P bass. I waited for a couple hours so I wouldn’t be rude and told him it was a modern Fender replica of a 1960 bass, not a 1960 bass. Really?

Not everyone is up on the stupid modern naming conventions.

Congrats on the NBD!
If you’ve never played a Greco bird before you’re in for quite a treat. Just be prepared to mothball every P bass in your collection and don’t be surprised if it ends up in first chair on the Tbird rotation list. They are incredible sounding birds, quite possibly the best sounding bird out there that’s still readily available at a realistic price.

They’re amazing. I have to force myself to play my CP now that I have a Greco, and I love that CP!

What a problem to have. I have my ‘15, my ‘21 NR, my ‘13 NR, my ‘05 Studio, and now the BaCH with the Gibson Vintage reissue pickup. And the Gibson shorty and all the Epis. I spent four hours playing the ‘15 and the Studio through the new to me Carbine tonight. A very very special night.

this one just came down 3k!….ok, it is TH’s but…..

Wow. I love, love, love my SVT VR. It was made in Viet Nam. But who cares. I doubt it sounds different than a 70’s version with who knows what has been done to it. I can’t see paying that kind of money for any amp, regardless of who might have played through it. It certainly won’t make me play or sound better.

didn’t know they were building them in Vietnam, not like they’re high tech, can you tell what tube brand yours has?
