They’re amazing. I have to force myself to play my CP now that I have a Greco, and I love that CP!
LOL - I had the exact same problem. Just got a nice white CP a couple of months ago that plays and sounds wonderful, but I kept reaching for the Greco next to it. So I moved the Greco to the other side of the room, to force myself to play the CP instead.

can totally see that, Miles’ CP is a gorgeous bass…

Back from being on the covid couch. The gift from china that keeps on giving.... Do people here still play those pesky neck-divers? Has anyone sworn off crazy shaped basses for real FSO basses as they were meant to be? Anyone buy a 60s? No way I will attempt to catch up, so please update if anything important happened.

Somewhere here there's a yes to all of that.
Glad you're doing better Donnie.

Drove over to Seattle yesterday for work, and missing my Birds already. Not a Thunderbird, but had this big girl in my yard yesterday. She was making breakfast out of the neighbors tree and shrubs. Have a great day everyone.

didn’t know they were building them in Vietnam, not like they’re high tech, can you tell what tube brand yours has?
The first few SVT VRs, ‘06 - ‘07 were made in the USA. Production shifted to Vietnam in ‘08 (mine’s an ‘08). Then to South Korea. I think by ‘13 or ‘14 they were made in China.

I’ll see if I can tell what type the 6550’s are next time I’m up at the other house. I think they’re Sovteks…

Welcome back!

Not sure if he showed before you went out, but @PillO has been hanging around again!

I haven't seen the term "curved line" before. What's that referring to?

Sometime in the mid seventies the graphics on the faceplates of the SVT and V2, V4, V4B, B-15n, and others all changed to a curved line graphic around the knobs. Maybe to look a little more “space-aged” maybe? Also they changed from toggle switches to rocker switches.

Thanks. This time was worse than the first (which wasn't a big deal), so I'm happy to not feel perfect yet and just feel as good as I do.

Yes, I saw PillO just before taking a dive.

Welcome back - it still is out there, a good friend got it recently and luckily not too bad. Hope you're better. Everything's the same here  ;)
