The Epi Pro is a different animal from the more standard, non-active versions, a few of us here have sharable experiences with the A/B of them.
Myself, having run into an agreeable trade deal for an Epi Nikki Sixx Blackbird, I'm a fan of the passive 'Bird school now.
I put flats on my active Pro and it made me fall in love with it. Regular strings sounded too hot.

. I hate to think what kind of sound pressure attempt it would take to damage anything in any stage of an Acoustic Control amp. I don't recall cranking one of those up past about halfway, and that was already unbearably loud.

I'm pretty sure halfway is about max on those, as well as most amps. Very few amps are at 10 on 10. Generally 6=11.

I just looked at the cast because I thought Owen Wilson was in it - instead I found that Sam Rockwell is who I mistook for OW, and one review said SR "was like an even cheeier OW" - :)

Sam Rockwell is awesome! You can't beat his "crewman Guy" in galaxy quest, "got killed by the lava monster before the first commercial"

He showed some serious abilites in "Moon".

And the hitchhiker movie was still pretty good, Adams had a lot to do with it, he never intended the hitchhiker series to be the same over and over again, but purists always get upset when a movie deviates from the book form.

And Arthur Dent became Bilbo baggins too.

I thought it was enjoyable, and the original BBC Marvin has a cameo in the queue.

I'm 42 by the way. 9months left to find the answer before it is too late.

A random thought just popped into my head:
TalkBass = TB
Thunderbird = TB

Coincidence? I think not. It just proves that we are lucky to be those chosen by Thunderbirds.

My name is Tom Bowlus, and I support this message...
