Jeff Tuesday - All day!

I just wish those NR necks had a slimmer profile.
Yeah, me too. Normally I can play anything and not think about it, from chunky early Pbasses to the odd mid 60s Pbass necks and smaller Js. The Ric neck I never got used to. But the NR neck is not at all uncomfortable, but always feels a bit odd when I first pick it up. I'm not sure why they chose that profile. Maybe wanting to not have headstocks fly off. Other than that, I'm at a loss other than it's a Gibson thing that Plato couldn't figure out. The Reverse neck is perfection IMO and no one complains about it that I've ever noticed, so why change it? Oh, yeah....the Gibson thing.

I’m not one to be overly picky or even pay much attention to bass necks, but I have to admit, every time I pick up the 21NR the first thing I notice is how round the neck profile is. It’s not particularly big, but the profile is just completely different from any of my other Gibson and Eppi basses. Fortunately it’s not uncomfortable at all, just feels very different from my Reverse birds.

Set your Betamax, VCR or other recording device for Wed at 8PM EST on ABC. On the Country Music Awards (CMAs), a great looking and and newly acquitted White 1964 Thunderbird II will get some national TV attention during Chris Stapleton and band's appearance. That was the plan anyway, subject to change I suppose due to other factors. This Thunderbird looks great and apparently is the best of a few already owned. Not often does a Thunderbird get some national attention and vintage white one at that. Hopefully the cameral people know the bass player is part of the band! And did I mention the Kentucky connection?;)
Is this you?
Speaking of "Whom", if I could play well enough to be in a Who cover band, that would be the name I'd push for.
