At this point it would be worth it to recreate the serial number, considering how much money the 60’s birds seem to be going for.

unfortunately there doesn’t appear to be one on this bass and the long languishing reverb base geetar

If I were refinishing a vintage bass (or any bass for that matter) I would make certain to preserve the serial #. It looks legit but missing the stamped serial # on the back of the hs degrades its vintage worth IMO.

The AARP sponsorship? No surprise. "The Rolling Stones" (today) is a corporation with the sole intent to make a huge profit monitarily for the corporation & stock-holders and are targeting whichever demigaphy their marketing wing tells them to.

a useful exercise for me is to be able to play the same part regardless of the chosen (fingers/pick) method…..doesn’t always work…does in this case, I usually play this finger style….

Yes, it's been a really good bass to take out to shows, sturdy, plays pretty well and I really like it's tone - It's good!
