Thunderbird Club

a useful exercise for me is to be able to play the same part regardless of the chosen (fingers/pick) method…..doesn’t always work…does in this case, I usually play this finger style….

Sounded great. The Bass Assassin was nailing it with a great sounding J. Even smiled once. :smug:

I can't say anything, I don't all that much either.

Bond Girl plays a medley of Peter Gunn into Planet Claire - yes, fun. :bassist: But never personally being a fan of the B-52's, I can not stand Rock Lobster's insipid repetition. I realize many people love the song... but I'm admittedly not one of them.
We used to do Peter Gunn into Brand New Cadillac and back. Peter Gunn lends itself to all kinds of things like that.

If you sand enough material to remove the serial #, you have thinned an already thin headstock. They may have added a veneer.
At this point it would be worth it to recreate the serial number, considering how much money the 60’s birds seem to be going for.
I turned down an opportunity to buy a '64 or so back when, because the neck had been repaired and the serial was gone. I think those just had the serial stenciled onto the headstock, unlike other Gibsons which are stamped in. My logic was that it had been repaired and the serial was gone, so I wasn't sure if it was legit. $1500 was the asking price, as I recall. The repair was extremely well done. I don't remember if I had the money at the time, but I didn't even think about buying it. That's one that got away. I hadn't been chosen by Thunderbirds yet, I guess.

The woman in white in that last picture sure thinks you are hot. I sure don't get groupies like that. Maybe it's time to dress a little differently.

Shaving, lots of shaving......Then you're trimming the Poodle, it's tough being a Queen!
