Bond Girl plays a medley of Peter Gunn into Planet Claire - yes, fun. :bassist: But never personally being a fan of the B-52's, I can not stand Rock Lobster's insipid repetition. I realize many people love the song... but I'm admittedly not one of them.

I like their stuff ok, but I'm a bigger fan of Canadian Amon Tobin for that style of music - I found this live show to be very creative and visually cool - I would love to attend a show of this level of sophisticated technology and execution.

I'll respectfully disagree.
Every bass has their "issues" regardless of brand.

Yes, as one who doesn't disparage one brand over another and rocks all brands equally - I also respectfully disagree. Besides, open A on any of my basses rocks equally. I've read recently that some basses for whatever reason have slightly weaker output at the G string. I've never had this be an issue on any bass I've ever built or play, but it appears to be a thing.

I do notice a difference in G string outputs across all my basses. Strings might have something to do with that too.

It appears that strings and pu height can help even the E to G string response, but sometimes it just happens, from what I've read. Wasn't aware of it until stumbling across a tb thread on it. And FTR, there are other sites where it's discussed.
