had a tote full of overdrive pedals at one time.

Ohh yeah got an ampeg svt-6 pro too but the thing is insanely heavy I think 1100w

I tried a 10k Watt system in a Monterey store sometime back and realized one could actually hurt themselves……

my first real rig was a Sunn 2000S into the Sunn 4 x 10 guitar cab…..lacked bottom with my Rick…..iwsh I still had it…

The small plate is the BT1. I'm not sure what the key or post length is. I'll measure when I get home this evening if that helps.
There have been a few of those coming up in our classified section.

Edit: Just saw Thumper's post about using a regular BT1.

All the Ampeg Pros seemed nice. I had two 3Pros for several years--until I played a used all tube Ampeg V4-BH and it went home with me and the 3 Pros were sold.

I’ve had two V4’s and 2 V4B’s, all early ‘70’s vintage. On the V’4’s I had channel 2 modified to match the V4B’s. Just a couple of caps changed on the input circuit which that and the V4 having reverb and the V4B not, is the only difference between a V4 and V4B. One of the V4’s was modified to run 6550’s. In each case I used them with sealed 4x10 or, in the case of the one with 6550’s, a sealed 4x12. To me, they just didn’t have a fat, warm, big low end and, while they were all plenty loud, I just never warmed up to them. I had considered having a deep, 27” wide (the width of the older V4/V4B), Ampeg clone cab made that would have had really sensitive 2x15’s, mounted diagonal and ported correctly for the volume of the cab, but once I tried my Orange AD200 and the OBC115, I was sold. Smaller, lighter (well, a little lighter), and better sounding to me, this is where I’m at for tube amps now. SVT/810 at one rehearsal space, AD200/115 at the other and AD200 with 115 and/or 210 for live. PF20t and 112 at home, PF50T and 115 at studio for recording, so still plenty of Ampeg in my life.

It also makes for a good home office amp. Surprisingly it sounds good at low volume.

My V4-B Reissue doesn't have the bigger and smoother lows of the V4-BH, which is has more in common with an SVT. They are different heads and not just cosmetically. The V4-B is louder, brighter and more aggressive. I prefer the BH.

The V4-BH Classic (I also have a blue line version as well) They are my favorites of the three.

All of those will be with me as long as I can play.

200 watts is what an original ACC 360 stack has. I have never, ever turned it up very far. Nearly everything I do can be covered by the little Carvin combo and an extension cabinet. I think it pushes out a rated 250 watts but is pretty obviously not as efficient at turning watts in to decibels as a 360. Once you have DI and there's an OK PA system, a bass amp is mostly for stage volume anyway. Not that I usually have that option.
