Where did they hide the preamp tubes? Or are they just not installed in the photo? That's what really threw me off, as a person who doesn't get elbow deep into the guts of any amp.all tube, by passable ss graphic EQ.
Lo Contour around 1:30
Process 10 o'clock
I think kind of the opposite of how you set your's IIRC. I have used your setting at times.
seriously over engineered…. comparing one to an equivalent 100W FSO is like comparing a Leopard to a Sherman….My V4-B Reissue doesn't have the bigger and smoother lows of the V4-BH, which is has more in common with an SVT. They are different heads and not just cosmetically. The V4-B is louder, brighter and more aggressive. I prefer the BH.
The V4-BH Classic (I also have a blue line version as well) They are my favorites of the three.

all loaded, hard to see, better pic below includes the three twin triodes that make up the preamp and inverter sections…Where did they hide the preamp tubes? I’ve had two V4’s and 2 V4B’s, all early ‘70’s vintage. On the V’4’s I had channel 2 modified to match the V4B’s. Just a couple of caps changed on the input circuit which that and the V4 having reverb and the V4B not, is the only difference between a V4 and V4B. One of the V4’s was modified to run 6550’s. In each case I used them with sealed 4x10 or, in the case of the one with 6550’s, a sealed 4x12. To me, they just didn’t have a fat, warm, big low end and, while they were all plenty loud, I just never warmed up to them. I had considered having a deep, 27” wide (the width of the older V4/V4B), Ampeg clone cab made that would have had really sensitive 2x15’s, mounted diagonal and ported correctly for the volume of the cab, but once I tried my Orange AD200 and the OBC115, I was sold. Smaller, lighter (well, a little lighter), and better sounding to me, this is where I’m at for tube amps now. SVT/810 at one rehearsal space, AD200/115 at the other and AD200 with 115 and/or 210 for live. PF20t and 112 at home, PF50T and 115 at studio for recording, so still plenty of Ampeg in my life.
Your ACC stacks are pristine looking. They are beautiful.
That could maybe be taken the wrong way.Your ACC stacks are pristine looking. They are beautiful.
Interesting. Didn't know that.seriously over engineered…. comparing one to an equivalent 100W FSO is like comparing a Leopard to a Sherman….

Is that the intention? That seemed to come out of nowhere?Maybe blow the knickers off the neighbor gal

Only 20 years ago I was joking about The Stones being sponsored by Zoll (maker of automated external defibrillators (AEDs)) as one of the riders in the contract was that there had to be an AED on each side of the stage. When I read about the tour sponsor, I thought it was a joke. Apparently not.

That has been the Stones since the 80s...The AARP sponsorship? No surprise. "The Rolling Stones" (today) is a corporation with the sole intent to make a huge profit monitarily for the corporation & stock-holders and are targeting whichever demigaphy their marketing wing tells them to.
Well, Jagger...That is hilarious. I think Jagger or Richards will have to die to stop this juggernaut.
Not only disturb the neighbors, but also people who are not neighbors! And then there's this:
Hiwatt's new bass amp is "the most powerful in the world”
What would anybody do with that? The only thing better than excess is more excess, but I'm not sure that's even more excess. It may be beyond more.
Well, Jagger...
