I will say, the old V4 4x12, loaded with updated drivers and lined, have plenty of low end and are pretty great cabs that fit under the V4. Been using one for a while and it's a solid cabinet, though there are plenty of smaller options available.

That was the cabinet I had, with some good Eminence drivers. while it sounded very good, and I used it a number of times live, with both bands, it just didn’t do it for me. The AD200 and 115 are definitely giving me more of what I like.

SS pre and Valve power is pretty uncommon in the hybrid world but if properly done it can have some great results. To my ears, the magic of an all valve amp is in the power section, so making the preamp SS doesn’t bother me at all, it’s the way my Musicman HD150 bass amp is set up and it works really well.

I had a legend guitar amp that had a a SS pre / tube power amp. Sounded great, but I don’t play enough guitar to need a 50 watt head around.
The PF50t actually works pretty well for guitar.

Acoustic 370. Don't have the full ACC stack though. I have seen the 301 cab locally for sale two times. I talked myself out of it both times because of size and weight.

I would never use it. It would be cool to complete the set, but that's about it.

I do use the head, and it sounds great through the 2 15"s.

I tried a 10k Watt system in a Monterey store sometime back and realized one could actually hurt themselves……

Years ago, at a consumer electronics show in Atlanta, I heard something playing loud and clear over all the glorious, mixed up din of music and sales pitches. I wanted to feel that noise up close and personal (with ear protection). About half way on my journey of 75-100 yards to the vendor, there was a <BRAP!>, and then silence. They had two huge walls of speakers - a modular setup where you could easily grow your array in height and/or width, with bass cabs, mid cabs, and tweeter cabs, hooking in series or parallel as desired. They had an amp putting out several thousand watts (I forget how many). But some genius had hooked it up through a switch to "make before break" switch to a set of desktop speakers, and switched it without dropping the power to about zero (really stupid setup that begged for this to happen). The amp and small speakers had fried, and as the amp was something brand new, they had no backup.
I wish I could recall their name.

200 watts is what an original ACC 360 stack has. I have never, ever turned it up very far. Nearly everything I do can be covered by the little Carvin combo and an extension cabinet. I think it pushes out a rated 250 watts but is pretty obviously not as efficient at turning watts in to decibels as a 360. Once you have DI and there's an OK PA system, a bass amp is mostly for stage volume anyway. Not that I usually have that option.

Carvin closing shop was a shame. And a blow to San Diego. They made good products at fair prices.

Thank you! From the front the look very good, but need some work. The 360/301 has tolex torn on the back, but the main issue is the speaker in the cab is shredded, cone surround disintegrated. But the preamp works great, and I've used that a fair bit. The power amp I believe I have fully brought back to operational functioning, just have to source a speaker. The 370 is in much better condition, but last time I fired up the head it started cutting in and out, so it needs some work as well, and has been added to the list of things I need to work on.

Sounds like a drive up to Hollister is needed.
